My question is who is dancing to this? 😩 surely the airplay is from the remix? 👀
Also it’s insane that if this stays alive for another week or two that it may go Top 5 lol

In an unexpected turn of events, it seems like the recurrent rules on pop radio changed and now ICDIWABH is at #6. The #8 peak just got spoiled lol. Our checklist will no longer be completed for the complete top 10 positions she would’ve held. But nonetheless, what a run.

30 Weeks and counting. I assume the massive number of Christmas songs coming to clog up the BB Hot 100 will push this out, but it really held up well for 30 weeks.

If it somehow starts gaining points again in January it will be allowed back into the Hot 100. This song's run is so weird that I wouldn't rule that out.

The way this was gaining momentum again, I think it would've climbed soon enough anyway so an #8 peak wasn't happening regardless.

Can this go top 5?
Its run reminds me so much of Lavender Haze. Both were second singles that got high peaks on the Hot 100 as part of the album bomb but didn't have hugely impressive runs as singles yet somehow kept lingering on forever. Both seemed like they would initially peak at number 11-12 on pop, but then slowly limped their way into the top ten and ultimately ended up as top 5 hits. If this falls off next week, then it would have the exact same Hot 100 weeks as Lavender Haze too (29 each), although Lavender Haze spent several weeks in the top twenty too after a single push, unlike this which only got as high as number 27.

I truly believe that radio has just been too eager to play Taylor this era and this is inoffensive enough even if it’s not the smash they clearly desperately want from her rn.

Oops I meant top 20, which is where Lavender Haze got to in March I believe when it was peaking at radio and when the Eras Tour was kicking off.

Okay with this update and the hits Birds of a Feather and Too Sweet are taking, a number 4 peak seems very likely this week. Pretty great turnout for Taylor after Fortnight's middling performance despite the huge start.

I just wish this could close the audience gap. This has the potential to stick around for quite awhile on the Hot 100 (at least, after the holidays mess with the chart) if this could get up to 40 million in total audience (even if streaming continues to weaken).

Maybe the release of the anthology next week will give the album a boost and help this to a few more weeks on the hot 100?

Either way, this song has hung on and done a great job to keep her album in the public ear. That is the key to radio. Most who listen to radio know nothing of chart placement. They only hear this song.

In retrospect this single was a huge dud to me. Boring MV, mid run, didn’t hit Top 10 on the Hot 100.
Really wish they would have went with Down Bad. Still not sure why she wore UFOs to the VMAs

The slowdown in the middle of this run was predictable but added to the perception of it being a boring run. I would much prefer for the charts to move faster as well, but this is just pop radio these days. Glad to see the resurgence.

I thought this was very mediocre when I heard it on the album (along with the rest of album lol), but it’s really grown on me lately.

Surprised this hung on as long as it did. This one burns out on me way faster than I thought it would and went from one of my fave from the standard edition to one I would skip when it come on

This is very typical for a Taylor single in terms of its run (slow steady, then a dip, then a surge).
With that said, I'm so ready for something new. Anything new. I was never a huge fan of this song or its grating chorus and with the music video being completely uneventful, I've been left bored to tears. Interesting strategy on her part: let's release this extremely important personal album for me, but let's couple that with the absolute most minimal effort. We'll just put all the energy into variants! 😒 I don't need her going the Beyonce route where she just throws out an album and goes on vacation (yes I know the tour and all, but still).

HAC saying “nah, this s**t is too old and tired” and dropping it like a rock, while CHR is apparently pushing it for #1 now is absurd. I’m almost ready to break out the payola talk, since it’s certainly happened before with CHR and Taylor’s team…
