I cannot STOP listening to Lifetimes snippet. I play it in my car on a loop. I never do this and always just wait for release but I am STARVED for a KP BOP.

Watching this whole WW saga unfold has made me so sad because she really had the attention and goodwill of the public. I know it has been said but I really wish Never Really Over and Harley's were released now.

I think Teenage Dream is her best song ever but Harley's is second. Same with the music videos. Harley's is like a 10 year sequel to Teenage Dream. She looks astoundingly gorgeous and mature and whenever I show it to people they are shocked at how good the song is and question why they haven't heard it before.

I'll always root for KP and have a special place in my heart for her corny goofy self. I wish she left Dr. Puke off the album but I am complicit and will still stream and listen to my girl.

I hope Lifetimes is a modest hit with a couple weeks on the Billboard chart and good streaming.

Woman's World is just not it for me.

Katy is not old age wise. She's just been around for over a decade. People have made up their mind on whether they like her or not and that's not gonna change unless she brings something new to the table creatively. And enough people have decided that as it is they're fine without consuming her new stuff.

This is still doing well at radio.  If its streams pick up, it could re-enter the Billboard hot 100.  Hope so.  Lifetimes will enter the BB Hot 100 for sure!

As for this, I guess the ride is over on radio. I’m feeling less optimistic about Lifetimes now, tbh. I think it’ll do OK, but I think the damage to the era is done (and dropping another song with Luke, while maybe less tone deaf, isn’t going to win fans back at the moment).

As a fan of Katy, I’m just going to enjoy the album (minus WW) as best as I can, but I think expectations of the album have to be heavily recalibrated now. I will also say, we are having an insane amount of pop releases this year and I think the field is too crowded (Beyonce, Taylor, Ariana, Camila, Katy, Charli, Sabrina, Billy, Dua, and a resurgence for Chapelle). When you have so many artists competing for limited attention (and dollars), people move on fast, and if you don’t get an immediate hit, you aren’t going to get as much grace for the second song (compared to maybe a slower year with less releases). We’ve seen this with Dua and Camila this year.

I still am hearing Woman's World on radio a lot and I love it even more.  I think her video is a lot of fun and do not understand all the criticism about it and her.  I hope this re-enters the Billboard Hot 100!  Go Katy!

Same reason a lot of artists fall off. They can't adapt to the current soundscape, lost their writers/producers that were the real source of success in the first place and are around too many yes men.
