WCTK in New Bedford, MA plays a country mix of the song. The two stations in Boston play the pop mix. I would assume the country mix is getting more spins in more rural/conservative markets, but for Boston it makes sense (one of our country stations even plays the pop mix of You Belong With Me).

I'm unsure how much this factors into it (if at all), but on streaming services the song is credited with Marshmello's name first. Radio seems to be the only place that Kane's name is credited first, so maybe part of it is that there was a more concentrated effort to promote it as Kane's song to radio to make country listeners more open to it? Just a thought; I have no idea if that has anything to do with the success at Country.

This was a great song!  I first knew it would be a massive hit on 6/6/24.  (Not as early as some of you.)  

That was the day I started telling everyone I knew about "Miles On It."

Country usually has a big resurgence into the mainstream in the early years of each decade.  (early 70s, early 80s, early 90s)

This time, it seems a little different.  Country is more popular than ever, and Hip-Hop/Rap is on the decline at the moment.  Of course, everything is cyclical, so some genres will go underground, but they will always re-surface later!
