I get that but Selena is not on the countdown. When he said the same intro for muni long when she was otv she wasn’t having an interview. It's no different than when Casey used to say "Now we're up to our Long Distance Dedication." Just because they say "we're up to" doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a song actually in the Top 40 that week. Meanwhile Greedy by state McRae ends a long strong 30 week run in the top 10 that includes a record amount of top 10 weeks to start the calendar year after being the year’s first number 1 in January and he doesn’t mention that introducing her at 12

And regarding Selena Gomez he was supposed to say ‘we are up to a recent interview from Selena Gomez’. She is not part of the AT40 countdown like we need anymore of her having a strangle hold with ‘Calm Down’ with her being featured by Rema for 75 weeks

Also an oddity in regards to extras. Number one … there were two extras by the same artist .. Bruno Mars … with Grenade and Locked out of Heaven … which the last time they were played in the same show was the decade end countdown of the 2010’s. Number two … they were so close within each other in between numbers 21 and 15. That hasn’t been done before in recent memory even with the Rhianna kicks that Ryan Seacrest has been on.

Good point and as someone mentioned on this weeks chart that just posted two weeks in a row of ‘What Do You Mean?’ By Justin Bieber.

Sorry for the double post, but wanted to point out how useless that Selena Gomez interview even was. It's a clip we've heard before ("No sad songs!") and it gave no new information (she's still working on her album, no release date yet). Completely agree. The same thing with the Meghan Trainor and T-Pain interviews. Sort of tangential, but I've noticed the re-airing clips thing happening increasingly often on Ryan's other show, On Air, as well. I happened to listen for a few minutes today on my station, and they re-aired a clip where Ryan and Sisanie give their younger selves advice. I know I've heard the exact same clip at least three times at this point, despite not even listening that frequently (I listen maybe twice a week for ten-ish minutes). I assume maybe it's a cost cutting measure, and/or they assume attention spans are short enough that they can get away with re-airing clips without most people noticing, but I also find the recycled content annoying. I hope it's not something that becomes a trend.
