4. Hot In Herre - Nelly

"Hot In Herre" was the lead single from his sophomore album Nellyville. Produced by The Neptunes, it topped the rap and Hot 100 charts and was Billboard's top rap single for 2002. Samples and interpolates "Bustin' Loose" by Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers, and won a Grammy for Best Male Rap Solo Performance.

In 2014 San Francisco station KVVF played "Hot In Herre" on a loop for over 72 hours to promote its change to what became "Hot 105.7".

There were two music videos made. The first one posted above aired primarily in North America. The second one aired primarily in Europe.

3. Dilemma - Nelly feat. Kelly Rowland

Nelly followed up "Hot In Herre" with this collaboration with Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child. It topped the rap and Hot 100 charts and hit #1 in nine other countries. It won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance and was nominated for Record Of The Year. Samples and interpolates "Love, Need And Want You" by Patti LaBelle. The song also appears on Kelly's album Simply Deep.

But first, a couple of extras. The follow-up to "I'm Real" was the lead single from her album J To Tha L-O! The Remixes. A remix to a song originally on her J.Lo album, it topped the Hot 100 and peaked at #8 on the dance chart and #4 on the R&B chart. Samples "Flava In Ya Ear" by Craig Mack.

Next, a song from the soundtrack to the movie in which he starred, 8 Mile. It topped the Hot 100 for 12 weeks and peaked at #2 rap and #4 R&B. It also hit #1 in 20 other countries and was the top single for 2003 in Sweden. It was the first hip hop song to win an Oscar for Best Original Song. It also won Grammys for Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Song, and was nominated for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Song Written For Visual Media.

2. Foolish - Ashanti

From Long Island, Ashanti Douglas broke into the business by writing hooks for hip hop artists. She was first featured on the Big Pun song "How We Roll" and also did features for Ja Rule and Fat Joe. Her debut single "Foolish" topped the Hot 100 and finished as Billboard's top R&B single for 2002. Built on a sample of DeBarge's "Stay With Me", it won a Soul Train Award for Best Female R&B/Soul Single and received a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

"Work It" was the lead single from her album Under Construction. It topped the rap chart and tied the record for longest stay at #2 on the Hot 100 without hitting #1.
