Thanks for the update, sheardbeard. "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" is now 81st on the Hot 100 GOAT List while "Lose Control" is now 100th as of the Nov 30. chart. Congrats to Shaboozey and Teddy Swims for earning the latest entries into the all-time top 100.

Lose Control #4 is a joke. it was performed at the CMA Awards along with A Bar Song. And they're both among the best performing songs in Hot 100 history. Coincidence?

I am coming close to quitting chartwatching. I will always love music...it just isn't even remotely fun/exciting to follow it anymore. Radio is dead and streaming is simultaneously volatile and boring. I'm probably just getting old lol

Billboard is a fucking joke. I wanna know where these 69.5 million streams come from. It's 69.5 million impressions, not streams. It had 19.6 million streams. A Bar Song 69.5 radio 8000 sold 19.8 streams "A Bar Song" was #5 in streams. Gracie was #1 in streams with 22.8 million streams, so the top 5 are all within about 3 million streams. They didn't give a streams total for "DWAS," but presumably it had 20-21 million streams. It's hard to know because of course stream totals can be misleading because of the weighted streams. In terms of the predicted totals TOTC had, they were dead on with the streams for "A Bar Song." They predicted 7.5k in sales, so "ABS" sold 500 more copies than predicted. TOTC predicted 69.2 million streams, so it had 300k more impressions than predicted.

Did LG and BM make any proactive pushes through their respective channels to encourage their millions of fans to stream/buy? If not, then that answers how important it was to them.
I suspect ABS nabs Week 20 after NY's thanks to year-end countdowns. If DWAS doesn't completely collapse at Pop radio, it'll be in a good position to challenge thanks to post-holiday AC, where it's going to be in Top 5 for most of 2025.

The smash matches the reign of Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, in 2019.
Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” claims a record-equaling 19th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the chart’s 66-year history, the song is now tied for the longest reign with Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (featuring Billy Ray Cyrus), which dominated for 19 weeks in 2019.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” became Shaboozey’s first Hot 100 leader in July. It has also ruled the Hot Country Songs chart (for 23 weeks and counting), Country Airplay, Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay, among other surveys.
A fan of multiple musical styles upon discovering music, Shaboozey “found country to be the thing that resonated with me in a really strong way,” he shared for a recent Billboard cover story. “Me being from Virginia, me loving the style and the way of life and the things they talked about … it all seemed very peaceful. It seemed like I could be real. I found country music could teach people that the little things in life are where the value is. Just having a working truck that you can take your girl in to ride to a cliff and watch the sunset is enough.”
“I love hip-hop; I’m a part of their community, too,” Shaboozey added, with “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” having reworked J-Kwon’s 2004 hit “Tipsy.” “That’s what I want to do with my music: be disruptive and show people that music is progressing.”
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated Nov. 30, 2024) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, Nov. 26). For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram. Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published. ‘Tipsy’ Airplay, Streams & Sales “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” on American Dogwood/EMPIRE (with country radio promotion by Magnolia Music), totaled 69.5 million radio airplay audience impressions (essentially even week-over-week), 19.6 million official streams (down 2%) and 8,000 sold (up 40%) in the United States Nov. 15-21. Boosting its profile during the tracking week, Shaboozey performed the song, in a medley with his newer single “Highway,” on the 58th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards Nov. 20. (The ceremony aired live on ABC and was made available for streaming on Hulu the following day.) “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was also discounted to 69 cents in the iTunes Store during the week. The track holds for a 17th week at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart; slips 2-4 after 14 weeks atop Digital Song Sales; and holds at No. 5 following nine weeks ruling Streaming Songs. (It has led the Hot 100 and Radio Songs simultaneously for a record-extending 16 weeks, nonconsecutively.)
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” additionally extends the longest rule this year, 23 weeks, on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart. Says Hubbard Broadcasting Seattle operations manager and KPNW program director Scott Mahalick, the party anthem has become entrenched in the genre “because Shaboozey is so passionate about country music. At the end of the day, it’s an upbeat record that is fun and nonpolitical. The listeners have spoken – they love it.” Hits With the Most Weeks at No. 1 All-Time
Below is a recap of the five longest-leading Hot 100 No. 1s, of 1,175 total leaders dating to the chart’s Aug. 4, 1958, start. (All five have led since the list adopted electronically-monitored Luminate data in November 1991, at which point longer commands than before subsequently became more common.)
19 weeks (to date), “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Shaboozey, 2024 19, “Old Town Road,” Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus, 2019 16, “Last Night,” Morgan Wallen, 2023 16, “Despacito,” Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber, 2017 16, “One Sweet Day,” Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men, 1995-96
Rest of the Top 10: ‘Die With a Smile’ & More
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” holds for a fourth week at its No. 2 Hot 100 high. During the tracking week, instrumental acoustic and sped-up versions were released (Nov. 20), with all versions discounted to 69 cents in the iTunes Store. (Along with its original version, acoustic, instrumental and “Live in Las Vegas” mixes were released prior to the latest tracking period.)
Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” holds at No. 3 on the Hot 100, after reaching No. 2. It leads the multimetric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts for a 16th week each.
Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” which topped the Hot 100 for a week in March, rises 5-4. It one-ups The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s 2021 hit “Stay” for the second-most weeks (45) logged in the top 10 all-time; only The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (57 weeks, 2020-21) has spent more time in the tier.
Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” retreats 4-5 on the Hot 100, after hitting No. 3, while her “Taste” keeps at No. 8, after it debuted at its No. 2 high.
Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True” holds at its No. 6 Hot 100 high, as it leads Streaming Songs for a second week (22.8 million streams, down 3%).
Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, is steady at No. 7 on the Hot 100, following six weeks at No. 1 beginning upon its debut in May.
Rounding out the Hot 100’s top 10, Benson Boone’s No. 2-peaking “Beautiful Things” is a non-mover at No. 9, as is Wallen’s “Love Somebody” at No. 10, after it debuted at No. 1 earlier in November.

"I Had Some Help" still in the Top 10. What's the record for # of weeks inside of Top 10 and debuting there? As far as songs that debuted in the top 10 go, it seems that "STAY" (The Kid LAROI/Justin Bieber) currently holds the record, spending 44 consecutive weeks in the top 10 following a #3 debut. Its staying presence famously prevented Drake from scoring the first full top 10 takeover with "Certified Lover Boy". "STAY" has the third longest top 10 tenure, behind "Lose Control" and "Blinding Lights". As for #1 debuts, the record currently belongs to Harry Styles' "As It Was", with 38 non-consecutive weeks in the top 10. "I Had Some Help" has 28 weeks so far.

Billboard needs to adjust their chart formula. What would you suggest they do? nothing formula related, but I would want them to redefine "Top 10 Hits" as "Top 10 Tracks".

I do agree that Billboard does use term "hit" too loosely, based only on song peak. replacing "hit" with "track" justifies album bomb songs hitting Top 10, and it lets history decide what a hit is or not. "A Thousand Years" is a perfect example of what a hit really is, yet the Billboard peak doesn't reflect that.

Officially it is a "songs" chart Agreed. If you click the "i" icon in any Hot 100 chart, it brings a pop-up explaining just that. "Hit" is just a term that they use in the Chart Beat articles ...

Billboard needs to adjust their chart formula. What would you suggest they do? Maybe make the overall radio audience impressions less significant in the formula? The Hot 100 should use the audience impressions from the Pop airplay chart, not from the Country or Hot AC airplay charts. Country has its own chart and Hot AC has its own chart. The Hot 100 should reflect the audience impressions from Pop radio only, and of course streaming and sales.
