^Because she's not a"Breakthrough" artist... she's been around since IYH charted in 2004! GO KELLY! FOUR AMA's in TWO years with ONE album... that's some kind of history right there. She's breaking records! yeah the thing is kelly was up for BNA on AMA with only AMLT, wasnt she?

How does Carrie winning breakthrough artist not make sense? Your not making sense, she sold more albums had more #1 hits and obviously is more popular and people think she is here to stay, whats the ? I'm making more sense than you ;) That means she shoulda won Female, not Faith Hill (revenge is hers though, I predicted that lame win lol) and not Breakthrough cuz like GBFOK said she's had singles with that album since 2004... so being the most selling Country Artist and being snubbed from Female they had to give her something...Breakthrough was the wrong category though lol but maybe not since Country moves hellalot slower than Pop in hit making. Old veterans that do not make hits for that charted October to October year need to stop winning awards, that's what ruins the vadility of the AMA's IMO. I'm glad Kelly wasn't snubbed for Mariah though like Carrie was for Faith Hill. Kelly had way more airplay and more overall sales Oct-Oct. Enough of the 'play nice and share awards bs'

However, Mariah's singles charted higher. Kelly never had 1 number one song with all of her success. Plus Mariah sold more albums. That award belonged to Mariah. I dont think that the public should vote cause they will just pick there favorites just as they did in this case. Why do you think Faith hill won that award cause people voted for her out of revenge. Had Faith not had that little debacle with Carrie Im quite sure that Carrie would have had this award on lock. The wrong people won and others were snubbed. It seems like now Kelly just gets gmme awards now. Just as she did at the mtv award Xtina or Madge should have won instead Kelly won. That wasnt right. Award shows have become to poilitical nowadays.

AMA is from october-october. kelly sold more album than mariah during these period, plus her singles did better. kelly totally deserved the best female pop/rock. but if u think xtina deserved best female on VMA over kelly, then yes you just are crazy in the head. xtina just came out with her first single that wasnt even huge smash and she deserved best female ?lol even if the VMA is held tomorrow, best female surely wont go to xtina
