Will Stand be a huge followup to Intuition? Plus, Jewel becomes the second artist after Madonna to have 2 #1 videos(American Life[original version, not the edit & Hollywood] meaning she has the most #1 videos tied on Pulse
Droppers:
04 The Way You Move Outkast, Peak #4, 1 week
09 God Put A Smile Upon Your Face Coldplay, Peak #9, 2 weeks
Summary:
And Jewel does it again! Of course all of the above mentioned, but she does a Fountains Of Wayne & rises up 7 spots to #1 with her new video for "Stand"! I just love how colorful the video looks.... & it looks like she did her job well by finally taking down Fountains Of Wayne's video for "Stacy's Mom" down #1 after 2 weeks at the top... lately we've had in the past 3 videos in a row that spent 2 weeks at #1 in a row: Why Can't I?, My Love Is Like...Wo!, & of course Stacy's Mom. Can Stand break this trend of 2 week #1's or will it follow the path of Intuition?(Meaning it'll never leave ;)) Anyways, besides Fountains Of Wayne falling 1 to #2, it looks like Beyonce still stays behind Fountains Of Wayne by falling 1 to #3 despite getting a 2 point increase... it's chart run: 6-2-5-2-3, first week at #2 it was behind Mya's My Love Is Like...Wo, which dropped off the chart 2 weeks later.... anyways, despite The Way You Move dropping off the chart from a way high position, Outkast's Hey Ya! rises 2 spots to #4! From one of the best videos of the year, let's hope it increases that amount ;) And of course, besides Jewel & Beyonce, we have our top female of the chart, Liz Phair only falling 2 spots to #5, & she's our longrunner of the moment with 12 weeks on the chart! She ties Mya's My Love Is Like...Wo which also spent only 12 weeks on the chart... at #6, we have a high reentry from Hilary Duff's So Yesterday & then we have Evanescence's Going Under falling 2 to #7, spending its 5th week on the chart, Bring Me To Life lasted 9 weeks on the chart, so can Going Under follow the same path? And it looks like after this British vocalist's big drop to #10 last week, Dido's White Flag makes a rebound to #8! Very glad Thank god this week proved she didn't go down in this ship Our second British chart success: Sting hangs on the chart with Send Your Love only falling 2 spots to #9, he's done very well: chart run 10-6-3-7-9.... & finally, our only new chart entry this week is Mandy Moore's "Have A Little Faith In Me" debuting at #10, her chart debut on this chart too
