43 is 'Be Without You' by Mary J. Blige. Nice job Matt! 40) I don't think this song charted on pop radio, but maybe Hot AC. The song was featured on a current popular WB teen drama and is by a band whose name contains something you find in every clothing store. Jack's Mannequin - The Mixed Tape39) This song first charted in 2005 but ran into 2006. There are two versions of the song: one with a rap bridge and one without. Chris Brown f/ Juelz Santana - Run It! (remix)38) Not sure if we consider this the third single from this Caribbean star's recent album or a track from the soundtrack to a popular 2006 movie. Sean Paul f/ Keyshia Cole - (When You Gonna) Give It Up To Me37) In the video for this artist's second single, the artist is dressed as if he's chillin' at the beach or somewhere tropical, probably with the girl he is singing about. Ne-Yo - When You're Mad36) The main artist on this tune provides no vocals. The artists instead leans on someone that has been in the music business for well over 30 years. Santana f/ Steven Tyler - Just Feel Better

Oooh, we've got competition here!!! ;)
By the way, both of those guesses are correct. :)

Here's some more clues:
40) The title of the song is something often associated with DJs at clubs.
39) This artist mentions his age in one of the verses of this song.
37) This artist's first single went to #1 on the pop chart and has already been featured on this countdown.

Hmm... if #39 is "Run It", then #37 could technically be "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" by Chris Brown. I'm not too familiar with the video though.

Well, technically, a song has to chart on my top 40 to be eligible for the top 100 of the year, and that song didn't. But, you're right in terms of the genre of music that song comes from. Sheesh, folks are taking so long, I'm getting a little sick here. ;)

^ YES! All that's left is #40. The song's title may make you think it was written in the 80s. I mean, come on, who uses cassette tapes anymore?

YAY! :) Time for the next set of clues.
35) At the time that this song was still reigning surpreme atop the country chart, another country song was released that seemed to conflict with what this song purported. Carrie Underwood - Jesus, Take The Wheel
34) CS: No, not a hot Ashanti remake. ;) Ayiesha Woods - Happy
33) The video for this song featured people holding up index cards with some really personal information on them. All-American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret
32) Highest song on the countdown for this newcomer. Apparently this guy's girlfriend makes him say lots of noises... Ne-Yo - Sexy Love
31) This song is one that began charting before the 2005 Christmas season and was actually included on a Christmas compilation album. But, it stayed in the top 10 on a radio format after Christmas and lasted well into 2006. Goo Goo Dolls - Better Days

34. "Happy," Ayiesha Woods Good work! Here's a couple more hints for the remaining ones: 35) One active member in the pop forum is in LOVE with this artist - so much so that his avatar is her album cover. 32) In the bridge of the song, the artist claims that the sun rises and falls while he's with his love.

I don't have any guesses for #32, but I had no idea "The Mixed Tape" did so well on your chart. :)

Thanks Mega for the compliment.
#35 is correct (the other song I mentioned in the first clue was SHEDaisy's "I'll Take The Wheel").
But #32 is still a mystery, huh? Here's another clue: This was the third single for this artist and it barely missed the top 10 on pop.

[Lil Jon]Yeahhhhhhhhh[/Lil Jon] 30) The video for this song showed a guy running around with people who had numbers over them, counting down to their death. Nickelback - Savin' Me29) CS: In this song, the band sings that they are worried that they might accidentally discard a really holy, precious thing. Storyside:B - Miracle 28) Talk about unfaithfulness, this song is full of it. Hinder - Lips of an Angel27) Holdover from 2005, it was the first #1 on my chart for 2006. Think of Joey. Nickelback - Photograph26) Talk about running your words together... Pussycat Dolls - Stickwitu

All except #28 are right (I am not THAT obvious in my clues!).
Here's another hint for that one: The answer is somewhere here.

Nice work Matt.
Here's some more hints:
29) This is the second song on the countdown for this band. Think of walking on water and raising the dead.
28) The singer of the song mentions that it's really hard to fight something... divine.

Boy, I didn't mean for these to be tough. Let's try much simpler clues.
29) Think of something that happened during Christmas on 34th Street.
28) This is the first single for this rock band to make it onto the pop chart, and furthermore it hit #1 in the fall of 2006, in between two hits by this former boyband member.
