What I don't get is so many listing "What You Waiting For?" What were you expecting, a completely flawless masterpiece? Off the top of my head... Agreed, with the added exception of Petey deleted's "Freek-A-Leek", which wasn't that bad. Terror Squad - both singles (at least "Take You Home" is getting what is deserves) Simple Plan - anything that has charted this year Yellowcard - Only One (I can't stand this song, especially the chorus. I'm surprised it still has a Pop bullet.) Eamon - his one hit ;) ("F.U.R.B." only gets a Dishonorable Mention for winking in and out of existence so fast, plus Frankee's voice is actually better.) Usher/Lil Jon/Ludacris - Yeah (Ummm...do I even need to say why? ) D-12 - both singles Finger Eleven - One Thing (horribly dull ) Jessica Simpson - the song whose review labelled Chuck Taylor an idiot ;) (AKA Angels) (Eyeeeeeeech.) Hoobastank - The Reason (only because of deathly overplay, otherwise I'd still be able to at least tolerate it) 3 Doors Down - Here Without You (For carrying over into 2004, I've hated this from day one.) Ciara/Petey deleted - Goodies (not as bad as several I've listed, but I still don't like it) Nelly/Jaheim - My Place (Because of Jaheim; I don't like his voice.) Ruben Studdard - Sorry 2004 (For the same reason as "My Place" - singers with too much soul in their voices sound horribly dull to me. ) Anthony Hamilton - Charlene (I don't like the sound of his voice, either. ) Jadakiss/Anthony Hamilton - Why? (For the added reason that political songs are either great or awful. Stick this in the Awful Column.) Nitty - Nasty Girl (Uggggggggggh.) Janet Jackson - I Want You (Why did you have to lower yourself to this, Janet? ) R. Kelly - Step in the Name of Love Part II ;) (AKA Happy People) (I challenge anyone to tell me something good about this song. ) Ludacris - 3 and a half minutes of the same chorus ;) (AKA Splash Waterfalls) (Its "title" says it all.) Nick Cannon/R. Kelly - Gigolo Trapt - Headstrong

I keep seeing One Thing one these lists.
They could have easily released something else to pop, but then people would complain about how its too hard or there's too much screaming or something or other. One Thing is one of the few songs Finger Eleven ever wrote that could have gone to pop radio. I hope that's been taken into consideration.

Maybe I will, but One Thing does not make them a promising act to me. If the other music is better...maybe...

Maybe I will, but One Thing does not make them a promising act to me. If the other music is better...maybe... Maybe I'm just sticking up for who I believe are a halfway decent band that I've known about and listened to for years. The point that I'm trying to make here, is that Finger Eleven could have released anyother song to CHR from their self titled album. Hell, they could release Thousand Mile Wish to CHR. But people would complain about it for the opposite reasons that they complain about One Thing though. If someone just doesn't like the song, they don't like the song. But it grates on my nerves reading that people dismiss Finger Eleven because of One Thing when the rest of their material doesn't even sound remotely close to One Thing. Their new single, Thousand Mile Wish is a million miles away from One Thing (no pun intended). I guess I picked the wrong thread for this though. Sorry. Please continue discussing the crap of 2004.

It doesn't matter if One Thing is on every format that isn't Pop. It's still a horribly dull song. Even Slow Chemical is better than One Thing.

Hey, I never said One Thing was a good song. I think Finger Eleven just deserve a little more credit.
Like I said, and with no pun intended, their new single, Thousand Mile Wish is a million miles ahead of One Thing.

Any rap or rock song & anything by Usher
I'm generally a fan of Dance & FEMALE R&B singers, but some of these songs I really really HATED
Janet Jackson "I Want You" Janet Jackson "Just A Little While" Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You" (OVERPLAYED) Beyonce "Me, Myself & I"
but the song I hated the most was "SPLASH WATERFALLS" Ludacris (Worst song I ever heard!!!!!)

As bad as the music we hear that radio stations chose to wear it out a hell of a lot faster than nine months of non-stop sex only to realize that the thrill is gone, here's my list of songs from the urban sector:
Goodies Ciara. C, Strawberry Shortcake called: She wants her berry patch back and you're rotting up the crop!!
Slow Motion Juvenile. Sorry, homey, ABC already invented that term on Monday Night Football---35 years ago!.
Yeah Usher/Lil' Jon. Strange bedfellows. Only one of them has a much bigger head and a much bigger mouth! Lil' Jon was a megaphone in a previous life. The one song that almost dulled my hearing.
Drop It Like It's Hot Snoop Dogg/Pharrell. Great examples of recycled catch-phrases and beats. Both reminded me of the Rock of Gibraltar--very STONED and ready to hit rock bottom!
My Boo Usher/Alicia Keys. If any buckethead who calls up the request line at the radio station EVER asks for that song again, I'm calling Bell South to block any incoming call that asks for it.
Confessions, Pt. 2 Usher. Another annoying track that drive me batty. Look what you did to the whole world., Mr. Raymond. Thanks for your contribution of your mockrobility of spilling out your so-called dirty laundry. Next, he'll release a CD called "My Journal."
Any song by Lloyd Banks and the rest of the P-U---I mean G-Unit. All can't sing worth a damn!
Slow Jamz Twista/Kanye West/Jamie Foxx. Kanye, I appreciate your contribution to the track, but WHO IN THE F**K TOLD YOU TO SPEED UP LUTHER VANDROSS'A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME AND MAKE HIS VOICE SOUND FEMALE? Also we need a translator for Twista.
You Don't Know My Name Alicia Keys. Good song and I agree with you on the remixed version. The original version you really DID talk my ear off! And my name is NOT Michael!
White Tees Dem Franchise Boyz. You go BROKE in your white tee/DIE in your white tee/BURIED in your white tee/GONE in your white tee!
Just Lose It Eminem. Do what your song says, Em.

If awesomely bad means the song is a guilty pleasure then I would say Evanescence-My Immortal or J Kwon-Tipsy.
But if we are talking about worse song then I would go with: 1.Hoobastank-The Reason 2.Lindsey Lohan-Rumours 3.Ashlee Simpson-Pieces of Me 4.Jessica Simpson-With You/Take My Breath Away/Angels(thanks for the garbage this year Jes) 5.Puddle Of Mudd-Away From Me 6.Shinedown-.45 7.JoJo-Leave(Get Out) 8.Usher-Burn/Confession Pt 2/My Boo(Alicia, come on) 9.Hoobastank-The Reason(it's really that bad) 10.Juvenile-Slow Motion

I just found One Thing to be...quite possibly in my top 5 of worst songs of the year. (along with the horrible, horrible The Reason)

You guys are good! :) A lot of songs you have selected actaully made the VH1 list for 2004 (in some way shape or form). I'm appalled that many chose 311 and Limp Bizkit both of those songs hit number one on my charts. No hating allowed now! ;)
