Based off Amazon.com user reviews: Monica - "After the Storm" 4.5 stars Mya - "Moodring" 4 stars Beyoncé - "Dangerously In Love" 3.5 stars Ashanti - "Chapter II" 3 stars
Would you rank them in this order or not? This is of course based off THE ENTIRE ALBUM, not just the singles! So, I would say: I would say: Monica Mya Ashanti Beyoncé

I'd rank them like this:
1. Monica (great album... every song is great except "Get It Off" and "That's My Man"... and those 2 aren't ba, just weaker than the rest).
2 & 3 (in no particular order): Beyonce & Mya - Both albums have some good songs, some bad songs, and some very bland songs)
9,288,918 - Ashanti

Monica Beyonce Mya Ashanti
That being said... Monica's album is a disappointment. I am/was a big fan but barely listen to it. Beyonce's is enjoyable but disposable. Mya's disappointed me too. Ashanti... I have a burnt copy and she doesn't stand a chance compared to the other 3.

1. Ashanti - 4 stars 2. Monica - 4 stars 3. Mya - 3.5 stars 4. Beyoncé - 2.5 stars
The top 3 are all very close. Monica and Ashanti switch a lot, and Mya is right up behind them.

I was not too impressed with any of these cd's although I listen to DIL more than the rest because it has better songs all around even though some of the tracks were just plain horrible (i.e. "Signs")

My favourite was Beyonce's. Monica's and Ashanti's are about the same (average), and I don't have Mya's.

Monica is the best no question about it. If her record label put the promotion into her efforts like Def Jam and Columbia have put into Ashanti's and Beyonce, she would be the undisputed QUEEN at this momemt, but they have not and that's sad.
MONICA IS MY FAVORITE ARTIST!!!

1. Ashanti - 4 Stars 2. Monica - 3.5 Stars 3. Mya - 3.5 Stars 4. Beyonce - 2 Stars Ashanti's is the best hands down. I love every single song on the album. Beyonce's is so over-rated.

On Amazon.com the user has to buy the product before they write/rate. I haven't reviewed something in so long, but they changed the format of Amazon.com reviews? So now you have to BUY it from Amazon.com in order to post a review? :(

I doubt all those people who leave anonymous reviews buy it before writing them. So thanks for the idea. I'll be busy making anonymous reviews this weekend! :) I'll submit like 20 dumb 5-star reviews. lol

I'm going to tally the votes to see who comes out ahead... and yes, you can review and rate on Amazon.com without buying the album, but you would have a problem having more than a few accounts. you need an email for each one, and you can't really create 10,000 different accounts. it'd also take a long time. and there are lots of reviews already so a few doesn't factor in enough.

Can I just ask what everyone has against Ashanti? Has everyone that has put her on the bottom of the list even heard her album? I don't understand how I can like it so much and everyone else hate it. Its so much better then her first one.

Can I just ask what everyone has against Ashanti? Has everyone that has put her on the bottom of the list even heard her album? I don't understand how I can like it so much and everyone else hate it. Its so much better then her first one. I haven't heard the whole album, but all of the songs I have heard have this in common: 1. Her voice is very flat, whiney, and lack texture/emotion. Overall, her voice is just weak. 2. The lyrics of the songs seem very corny/easy to write. "Rain On Me" is her lyrical strongest up to this point, and it's not that great. 3. In terms of the musical arrangements, she's doing nothing new. 4. Overall, the songs just seem kind of bland and/or repetitive. And while I didn't factor this into where I ranked the album, I'll say that I hate how Ashanti goes around saying "I had 3 top 10 hits at once" and "I had X amount of Top 10 hits in only 2 years." Singing a generic hook on a rap songs as a "Featured" artist does not make it HER song. The biggest joke is her getting credit for "Into You" going Top 10.... Tamia's version is what 95% of of stations played, and I don't even give her credit since she was "featured." Ashanti just seems really arrogant to me... but as I said, that has nothing to do with why I don't like her music.

Its so much better then her first one. I have all of these artists album and the reason I put her last is because her albums are filled with so much filler on it. The first one I only liked about 3-4 songs and her 2nd one I only liked about 3 songs from what I remember. Plus Ashanti's albums are the ones I listen to the least from in the artists listed here.

Ashanti just seems really arrogant to me... but as I said, that has nothing to do with why I don't like her music. I've heard her say the 3 top 10 hits thing, but only when the interviewer asked her about her "Billboard record." What do you expect her to say in response to that? "Well, um, I don't want to brag, so I'm not gonna tell you"? It's not like she says, "By the way, I have the same Billboard record as the Beatles have; I had 3 top 10 hits at once!" I've never heard her talk about how many hits she has had in 2 years. KMEL in San Francisco always played the Ashanti version of "Into You." A lot of stations did. Not more than Tamia's version (overall), but that doesn't mean she shouldn't be given credit for its radio performance. After all, "Into You" featuring Ashanti was already top 30 on CHR/Rhythmic before Elektra sent Tamia's version to radio. That's all I wanted to say. You have a right to not like Ashanti's attitude for whatever reason; I just don't like reading untrue things about her.

I am a fan of all of them.
I own all albums except Monica. :o Maybe I ought to pick that one up too. Based on their songs:
1. Beyonce (best) 2. Ashanti (second best) 3. Mya (third best) 4. Monica (fourth best) - I like Monica, but some of her songs get a little too male bashing for me, but it's ok I can understand Monica's frustrations.

A lot of the songs have that late 90's R&B/Pop sound you'd expect of her, so if you liked her earlier material, you'd definitely love this album. It's funny because when I listen to it, I think "this is what one of the singles would've been if this came out 4 years ago" Know what I mean?

Its so much better then her first one. Yes I've heard it, I have a copy from a friend.... it's very bland and I can only take a few songs at a time. Her lack of vocal talent really stands out like a sore thumb.
