KSTE is the second CHR-Pop in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. They said it will only focus on Baton Rouge where it is doing better than in New Orleans. Is KSTE Clear Channel's lowest rated CHR-Pop in the Country?

104.1 is supposed to focus only on Baton Rouge in the future. Clear Channel is planning on moving 103.7 from Laurel-Hattiesburg to New Orleans as a replacement. Seeing that CC already has a CHR/pop in Bation Rouge (WFMF) and that KSTE is very lowly rated, a format change is really in order.

What will be KSTE-FM's next format?
Will WUSW (103.7) still be receivable in the Hattiesburg area, even after it moves closer to New Orleans?

Kiss is CHR/Rhythmic now. Their playlist today pretty much pararells the CHR/Rhy chart. The only problem is that the imaging (which hasn't changed one bit since the Hot AC days) doesn't fit the format. To me this looks like a last ditch effort to take down B-97.

The only problem is that the imaging (which hasn't changed one bit since the Hot AC days) doesn't fit the format. To me this looks like a last ditch effort to take down B-97. Their Top 30 on Medibase is 59 percent rhythmic, and they're playing Maroon 5, 3 Doors Down (two songs), Kelly Clarkson (2 songs), Stacie Orrico, Staind, Nickelback, Trapt, Simple Plan, Ataris, Michelle Branch ("Are You Happy Now?"), and Evanescence featuring Paul McCoy. In the rhythmic songs, I included "Rock Your Body" whose core format is CHR-Pop, "Hey Ya" which is on Alternative, and "Where Is The Love?" and "Fallin'" which charted on Adult Contemporary and/or Hot Adult Contemporary. I don't know where you got your information from that they're all rhythmic. The station is reasonably balanced, the problem is overplay. WEZB is actually more rhythmic, with three out of their top five songs being rap songs that aren't popular on CHR-Pop: "Damn!," "Can't Stop, Won't Stop," and "This Is How We Do." WEZB is the leader for all three.

DIDDY/MURPHY LEE Shake Ya Tailfeather --Stop Set BREAK Commercials-- 1:48 AM FABOLOUS Into You f/Tamia/Ashanti 1:52 AM LEE, MURPHY What Da Hook Gon Be(f/J.Dupri) 1:56 AM BABY BASH Suga Suga Looks rhythmic to me.

So now are they challenging their own station WQUE in New Orleans? In Citadel they are challenging WEMX and WJNH. On radio-info, they said KSTE would change formats next year, not now.
