Yes, it's kinda hard to take that "F**k It" song seriously, but I read up on him and it turns out that he's pretty talented. He's 19, from New York, and writes with the same guy who worked with Sinead O' Connor (it's funny, I can really see a resemblance with the music). At first I thought "F**k It" was kind of a joke song, but, as I listened to it more and more, I saw that it was a solid song. What do you guys think?

I am pretty impressed with Eamon's ability. I am just afraid most people will only consider him a novelty act

He's talented because he's 19? Those lyrics are the most assanine trash I've heard on radio in a long time. He can't sing either.

He's talented because he's 19? I never said anything about being talented cuz he's 19. I remember when this song came out, you said that the song was trash before you even heard it, simply cuz it had harsh lyrics...I think people should see past that...

I think he has a pretty good voice and I don't think he is talented because he is 19 he just is.

I'm pretty sure he's gotta be better than F**k It. That's probably going to be the worst song on his album.

I think that he is decent as a singer, and even the music is pretty good, but the lyrics have got to go!

One of the worst voices i have ever, EVER heard on a hitmaking artist, even more painful than Lumidee's, and one of the worst songs, lyrically and musically, to do well too.
Yeah, REAL talent here. There's something seriously wrong if he's not a one hit wonder....

I'm mad that I've only heard this song once. I thought it was pretty funny. His voice and lyrics work really well together. KBKS doesn't seem to have added it yet, and I don't think the Music Choice pop station wants to either. >:(

I agree that he'll be a novelty act... releasing a song like "F**k It" was certain to brand Eamon as a one-hit wonder. It's still a funny song, though.

I can't think of anything wrong with the vocals of "Fuck It." It's a perfectly good voice, and he sings on tune, but I think some of you are just too biased against him from the stupidity. I can understand that.
But I like the song. The song is pure crap, just like about 70+% of what you hear on pop, but unlike that other 70+%, he's not trying to pass this off as talent. I think he purposely made a generic R&B-sounding song with the most asinine lyrics possible to say that pop will eat up crap, no matter what. It's brilliant.

Yeah, his horrible whining is awe-inspiring. Hate to admit it, but I'm starting to like (or at least tolerate) the song.

Forget what I said about KBKS not playing it. I've heard it three times in the last two days.
I'm really starting to get into it now. It's the perfect parody of an R&B song. I mean, you can take your stereotypical R&B song with the super-smooth vocals and the "Baby, I'm not complete without you" themes, and turn it 180, you'd get this. It's the perfect antithesis.
I think, if there's any prejudice, it's that people don't like that he seems to be besmerching what R&B songs are usually about. At least, that's the way I see it.

This may sound like I'm off the cliff here. But i remember not even two months ago, I recieved the CD single and listened to it a few times. The kid has talent, but yes the lyrics are graphically harsh and I don't blame some of the radio stations not playing this song. Eamon's song may not be his best song to kickoff, but do you think this song shows any indication of what happens when you found out in a worst-case scenario that your girl screwed around with some guy that she adores (and later covers it up ala Busted) and you get really pissed off about it?
Just think... picture it in your mind as to where this song is going. I'm sure some of you have.

His voice is HORRIBLE. Listen carefully to his voice in the chorus... you can't possibly tell me he has a good voice. With that being said, I love this song!

When I heard it before, his voice didn't jump out as being off tune or bad enough for me to realize it. That being said, I just listened to it a few times right now, and now I don't think his singing is superb, but I don't think it's that bad, and in any case it's certainly not any worse or more off-tune than most of the rest of the songs on the pop chart.

This is pure trash. The harsh lyrics are a gimmic to get notoriety. Without the harsh lyrics you have a sappy early 90's R&B retread that wouldn't get the time of day from any radio station. The gimmic is so transparent, and people are buying into it anyway. A slow song with all this cussing, how fresh! please.

In fact, it might be the most honest R&B song out there right now. It's a great contrast with all the sad, sappy R&B songs about being done wrong. I'm sure whoever got the idea for this song was listening to Uncle Sam's "I Don't Ever Want To See You Again" and thinking, "hmm... what would someone really say in that situation?". It's also inspired by the female angry-at-cheaters songs like "It's Not Right, But It's OK".

No, I swear to God i'm not biased because the song isn't very good. His voice really IS appalling. Curse words don't offend me or faze me in the slightest. The first thing I noticed about this song that put me off was his hideous, HIDEOUS voice....

I view him as a novelty act as well, and I consider myself to be "knowledgable" in music, so imagine what the throngs of people listening to the radio see him as...lol

I'm sure the hope was that many of you would buy into the gimmic. It seems to be working. Why should anyone have to boil it down to the fact that he curses in the song? After all, there are more lyrics to the song. I mean, if your problem is his attitude in the song, then that's fine. But you make it sound like everyone else was somehow brainwashed into liking the song, And on a personal note, and this is not meant to be an insult, but you come off like you think you're better than people who like this song simply because you don't. And moreover, even if it is a gimmick, why can't I buy into it if I want to? That's called having a guilty pleasure.

And moreover, even if it is a gimmick, why can't I buy into it if I want to? That's called having a guilty pleasure. I know I took a smug attitude on this, and I'm sorry for doing so. I hate when other people do it, but here I am doing it. My thought is simply this, was the song released as a single? yes. Despite the fact that it was filled with four letter words throughout? yes. what does this tell you? It tells you that the four letter words are the REASON they released it. Otherwise if it was about the music, they'd release something a little more radio friendly and leave it as an album cut. I maintain that the ONLY reason this is popular is because of the four letter words in it. Without those it is a break-up early 90s retread song, and radio wouldn't give it the time of day. Buying into the gimmic is fine, I'm simply pointing out that it is a gimmic, and further, that it is working. People that want to believe the song is popular because of the vocals or the rest of the lyrics are fooling themselves, at least in my opinion. The worst part is, I sound like my dad.
