Based on what I've heard right now, I think The Calling could have it this year with "Our Lives." It's the closest thing I've heard this year so far.
'Cause these are the days worth livin' These are the years we're given And these are the moments These are the times Let's make the best out of our lives

I heard from somebody that TLC's "Turntable" is a hot contender.
I remember last year's graduation anthem was Amanda Latona's "Do You Still." I heard it before my graduation (at home on my computer)!

I agree with The Calling, but graduation is already here, graduation songs should be released like in February so they can peak in May. Of a song that is not a single I would say "Last Summer" Lost Prophets. That sounds like a graduation song.

I heard from somebody that TLC's "Turntable" is a hot contender. I'd love to see that happen! Unfortunately, it's not going to.

I would say "The Reason" by Hoobastank is a contender.

My personal graduation song last year was The Ataris "In This Diary."

What the hell was it supposed to be in '02? "No Such Thing"?

Yea, my Grad song last year (2003) was "No Such Thing". Suffice to say I never liked John Mayer and this choice made me dislike him even more. I would have preferred "Time of Your Life" by Greenday, oldie but classic.

So true. "Leave (Get Out)" would work too. The most typical graduation song on the chart right now would probably be "Ocean Avenue". If "In This Diary" was last year's graduation song, "In This Diary 2"...er I mean "Ocean Avenue" would also work.

lol, I've never even heard this song. Must have been a real hit! It wasn't. It peaked at #18 at Hot AC and didn't reach the Pop chart.

lol, I've never even heard this song. Must have been a real hit! The song sucks, but it's probably the most appropriate pick for graduation song of that year. Their follow up, which was 100 times better, sadly did even worse.

Graduation anthem 2003: Amanda Latona - "Do You Still"

The song sucks, but it's probably the most appropriate pick for graduation song of that year. I don't know.....I would think that people would have to actually hear a song for it to be considered a graduation song. Especially the actual graduates of that year.

I'd go with "No Such Thing" as the grad song for most people in '02. Dropline's song is more fitting, but as people have said before me, hardly anyone heard it. "FAFH" has a grand total of 90 million audience impressions to date, while "No Such Thing" is over 3500 million (3.5 billion).
There hasn't been a popular graduation-type song that was out at the right time since "Here's to the Night" in '01 though.

No. I wouldn't mind if "Time Is Running Out" by Muse was the graduation song this year. If you think about the lyrics, it kinda works out. I think there was another song that I felt was an appropriate graduation song but I forgot what it was. Of course, it matters to me this year (assuming my school picks graduation songs), so I don't want it to be something I dislike.

A Country song, but it isn't current (Tammy Cochran). I really like the part in "Life Happened" when she says "I finally realized we turned out alright." It's appropriate for graduation because it's saying, whatever happens to you graduates in the future, you're gonna be okay even if your planned future turns out differently.
