Do you think they'll come out with any wins? Thanks, Ben Britney will win her 1st probably for pop video with "toxic" and she deserves it for that one. Best dance video and best choreography is a toss up between Britney and Madonna for "Me against the music" and Usher....seeing as how last years winner for best choreography was Beyonce and her bootyshake I'm assuming no choreographers voted inthis category, so I guess Usher will win but doesnt deserve it over Britneys choreography. usher will win the way Justin won last year. Outkast will probably take home video of the year for either Hey Ya or Roses. |

If Britney doesn't win, I would take it very personal if I were her. I would refuse to host/perform at any future shows (including this one) if I wasn't guaranteed atleast one win. You gotta play dirty to get things done sometimes. >:(

MTV is Britneys main outlet for promotion, if sh doesnt have there support she is SCREWED. She doesnt have BEt or a back up the way Janet does. |

What about Viewer's Choice? If "Invisible" by Clay Aiken is nominated, it's pretty much a lock to win that. His fans are experts at voting for things, and got him the Fans' Choice Award at the American Music Awards last year. "Invisible' isn't the greatest video, but crappy videos have been nominated (and won) in that category before.
I still think "Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely" and "The Call" by the Backstreet Boys were robbed of VMAs. I'm not a fan like I used to be, but they're both great videos.
"Everytime" could get a nom or two, due to all the controversy surrounding it. Jay-Z's "99 Problems" is definite, especially since it's supposedly the final video for a popular hip-hop legend and MTV favorite.

I think you people forget some of the better videos to come out this year weren't for top 40 smash hits. Float On from Modest Mouse and Take Me Out from Franz Ferdinand could get a Praise You or Fell In Love With a Girl type nomination for video of the year. I also wouldn't count out Incubus' video for Megalomaniac.

Justin Timberlake already won Best Dance Video with "Rock Your Body" last year.
There's no way "Yeah!" will be nominated for Best Breakthrough Video, there's nothing remotely-breakthrough about it, not to mention videos nominated in that category are by artists that aren't really popular.
