That's a pretty good one, even though I thought it was really called "Walking in L.A.". It could be, I wasn't able to find the actually title by looking it up, so I just put what I thought it was.

Wave - California.
Pretty sure they didn't hit south of the border, but this song was huge up in Canada a few years back (mind you, so was B4-4's "Get Down" at the same time - make of that what you will).

Back when I was out in San Diego, I used to hear 3 Doors Down's "Be Like That" and in the line that says "he spent his whole life being too young", one station played a version that said "he spent his whole in California".
