Featuring members of All-American Rejects, The Academy Is, Gym Class Heroes, and The Sounds, this single comes off of the soundtrack for what will probably be one of the greatest examples of filmmaking in our lifetimes, Snakes On A Plane. I dare you to tell me this won't rule.

The Sounds seem very out place being in the same song with the rest of those bands. They're also playing at the Warped Tour. That is weird.

That's the point. It's brilliant. I truly believe it has the power to be a Plan 9 From Outer Space for a new generation. The fact that Samuel L. "Badass" Jackson is starring in it is almost absolute proof that this is the case. You cannot tell me that this will not blow the roof off of every bad movie that was ever created. It will destroy the world with sheer awesome badness.

I wish it wasn't mostly pop-punk groups, but I just want to see how they incorporate "snakes in a plane" into a song.

I dare you to tell me this won't rule. If you mean the movie, then I'm sure it will, in a craptacular, so-bad-it's-engaging kind of way. The song, on the other hand, will most definitely blow. Why force a song premise on somebody just to tie it in to a movie. And a premise so ludicrous at that? How could anyone (let alone anyone in these marginal bands) make a good song out of it? And by the way, apparently Sam Jackson didn't even need to see the script before he signed on. Just the fact that it was called Snakes on a Plane was all he needed to know.

Sam Jackson is a living weapon of badassery. By the way, no one forced the premise on anyone. If I recall correctly, the filmmakers asked for bands to submit their songs for the soundtrack, and Cobra Starship took up the challenge. Here's an article on it: www.vh1.com/movies/news/articles/1533966/story.jhtmlHuh, the band also features the vocalist of Midtown. Didn't know that.

LOL
some of my friends are already talking about wanting to go see this. It's gonna turn more into a comedy than a action movie. I can't wait to see it myself.

Yay, they made a video for it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aVpHa4nKFA&eurl=I could watch this over and over just to hear Samuel L. Jackson say "I've had it! Get those motherfucking snakes off the motherfucking plane!!!"

Underwhelming, but at least they sing "Snakes on a Plane".

The All American Reject is not on the video. So its only two female singers, one rapper, and that guy from Midtown. The chorus is dominated by the female voices.

It's funny, but in every article I've read on the band, I've never read about someone from All-American Rejects being in the group. I honestly think they fucked up and confused the guy from Midtown with AAR.

I had a bit of a "WTF?" reaction after the first listen, but I quickly caught on. Very catchy indeed.

Remixes of a largely emo-centric playlist. No thanks.

This might be one of the dumbest movies that has hit the box offices recently (minus Kill Bill and Freddy vs. Jason). And as far as media darling Samuel L.'s appearance in the song goes, I'll just say that profanity never makes one a genius, in my opinion. Or a great actor.
I'm an emohead, and much of these bands are in my genre. I'll listen to the originals, but I really have no interest for crappy remixes (I've already heard one).
I'm surprised they got such a slew of great (and well-known) bands to play for what will surely be a box office flop. Even with Sam Jackson. There, I said it.

This might be one of the dumbest movies that has hit the box offices recently (minus Kill Bill and Freddy vs. Jason) 1. Dumb? No shit, really, what gave it away? Was it the brilliant plotline, the superb casting, the amazing special effects, or was it the thought-provoking title for the film? No offense, but I think you missed the point somewhere. 2. Kill Bill was awesome and nothing you can possibly say would ever convince me otherwise. Let's just get that out of the way right now. 3. You really have to love crappy horror films to enjoy Freddy Vs. Jason. I happen to fall into that category. Yes, FVJ was unbelievably stupid, but I loved every minute of it, especially because Jason won (take that Krueger). It messed around with both mythologies, had an honestly inspired concept for what amounted to a simple grudge match, and it was fun seeing them duke it out. The fact that you were disappointed by it begs the question of what you were expecting.
