Followup to Love Like Winter goes for adds February 20th.
Kudos to AFI's promo people for putting out the right songs.
Perfect choice.

Second consecutive single referencing a season in the title! ;)

I wanted The Missing Frame, but this works. I suspected this.

What's up with the phone in the middle? Probably just a cool sound effect they liked. It works.

Awesome. They need to reference "spring" somewhere just as a gag. I'd give them my dog, and I don't even have one.

Awesome. They need to reference "spring" somewhere just as a gag. If the sales get low enough, maybe they can re-release it with "Hips Don't Lie (Spring Edition)".

I seem to be one of the only people who doesn't care a whole lot for this track. It's okay, but it's not one of my favorites from the album. Although I like the opposite seasons of the year being the consecutive singles. Does anyone else think that Davey sounds like Chris Carrabba on here?

I think you have a point about Chris Carrabba. And this also sounds like it could crossover. Are they platinum yet?

Not yet, but I believe they are close.
I do not agree about the Chris Carrabba comparison, only because they have very distinct voices. Carrabba's voice is high, but very clean and not nasal like Davey's voice, and Davey's voice is even higher than Carrabba's. It's hard to see any kind of similarity between the two.

Does anyone else think that Davey sounds like Chris Carrabba on here? I can see the slight comparison, but there's enough of a difference that its rather easy to tell who is who when paying attention to the vocals. Also that AFI and Dashboard have quite different sounds compared to one another. The first thought in my head to compare someone to Chris Carrabba is Jim Adkins from Jimmy Eat World. As for Davey Havok, eh I don't have much of an answer.

Indeed it is. "Love Like Winter" = favorite song off the album "Summer Shudder" = 2nd favorite But who knows? Once "Summer Shudder" is in full swing, that could get too close to call anymore.

Took me a minute to realize they were singing "Under the summer rain". I thought it was "Thunderbirds on the rein".

They should have waited at least 3 more months to release this during the summer instead.

well, they were great on SNL last weekend, despite the soundboard crash during "Miss Murder". In fact, Davey's performance of that song was so bloody intense that I was completely enthralled. He's so good at what he does.

He's so good at what he does. Yeah, and in my area, there was a threatening overnight snow/ice storm on the way, so the local meteorologist kept cutting in before every sketch. So in addition to Davey's vocal-less first half of "Miss Murder" (and the overall jarring EQ shifts afterward) I got to see a minute less of a 2:47 song. (I watched it the next day on YouTube, though.)

He had that audience in his pocket from the bridge onwards...the whole crowd erupted at the end. I hope they see a boost in sales next week. :)

I think I know why too. If you check the charts, The Missing Frame is currently at #89. Betcha anything they decided to change the single to that.
