I just want to say that one thing I've always loved about Evans Blue is that the bald fat guy is their frontman. How cool is that? Too often these kinds of bands have singers made for the cover of a magazine, it's good to see somebody fronting a band who's a little outside expectations. Considering they've got the whole post-grunge/new-metal thing going on, his appearance didn't surprise me at all. Lots of dude-rock bands don't bother to look conventionally good.

Even though nu-metal and hard rock is full of bald frontmen, none of them are fat.

While "The Pursuit" is #36 in spins and #39 in audience...
"Beg" from their previous album is not only still current, but it's #32 in audience.

It'd be a lot different if 89x out of the #11 market would get with it by giving the new single high rotation spins instead of the old single. Are they really that big in Canada that their debut album is still running strong? I had no idea they were on two separate albums. I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to tell by listening to the songs.

I listened to the album and this is the only song that stood out. Shine Your Cadillac has to be the dumbest song by a rock band in a few years. I can't picture this band ever being big.

Kind of a random stat for this topic, but Beg is being pushed into the top 15 on a Hot AC station in Houston.
Even though Beg is one of their more accessible songs it's kind of weird to hear it next to Carrie Underwood, Pink, and Fergie.

Houston has been playing that song for like a year straight on alternative and active i believe, they are like the only city to play that song ever :) i saw that about the HAC station... it is a mystery why houston is so obsessed with that song. its a great song, but to have one city playing it, long and hard, it seems odd.

its a great song, but to have one city playing it, long and hard, it seems odd. There was a TV ad for a Beavis and Butt-head collection years and years ago where the announcer said a seemingly normal sentence with the phrase "long and hard," which was immediately followed by two clips of Butt-head, snickering about each word.

I think that was that Time Magazine ad where you got 3 Beavis & Butt-head DVDs along with the Christmas episode for like $30. I ended up being suckered into it. It seemed like a great deal at the time and I think I watched episode after episode for like six hours straight, but unfortunately don't believe I've watched them since then. Hell, I don't even know where they are anymore considering I've lived in three different houses/apartments since then

It's not really a sucker deal if you loved the cartoon. But do you really expect to always be in the mood to watch Beavis And Butthead? That's why I've never really become much of a movie collector as opposed to music and games. There's rarely ever been a movie I've desired to see more than once. Television's kind of the same way in my opinion.

I realized about a year ago that I might as well stop buying DVDs since I hardly ever watch them again after watching them once after the purchase. The last one I bought was Batman Begins when it first came out on DVD and I still haven't been in the mood to watch it yet.

The acoustic DVD featuring the songs from the first album is better than the first album itself.
It's that good.

And regarding B&B, I never want any of those because they're just not the same without all the videos they watched along the way. (I understand why they can't be released that way.)

Yeah, that was one of the key parts of the show I always liked. However, I didn't think of that when I bought the DVDs and was pretty disappointed when I ended up watching them. It's not the same watching episodes back to back to back without any lame as hell videos in between.

Y'know, if you go to the Wikipedia article on the show, you can read about a lot of the videos they watched in those segments and who they liked and disliked. Kind of interesting cause really, I always kind of remembered them as watching fairly obscure stuff and it turns out that most of what they watched was pretty typical. They did watch Metallica and Nirvana and Alice In Chains, among others.

I missed out. Never saw a single episode with the video watching because I took everything at face value and didn't know any better at 13 years old to realize the entire show was satirical brilliance. I did rent the DVD's though, and had a good laugh, although after about 10 episodes the one thing that kept me awake was the possibility of an appearance by the character that went on to become Hank Hill, having been familiar with the first 5 seasons of KotH. I'd burn them if I had the chance.
B&B Do America though, now there's a movie that I'd buy.

You do realize that Anderson and Hank Hill aren't the same character, right? Even though the similarity raises a hell of a lot of eyebrows.

They did watch Metallica and Nirvana and Alice In Chains, among others. A lot of the videos they watched, that I grew to realize over time, were lots of classic songs/videos from the '80's. There were, however, just as many obscure early-'90's alternative bands.

Well, at least this video tried to have a plot.

I actually heard "Possession", of all songs, on the radio this morning. I know it's off a completely different album, but I think they could pull a Plain White T's and Gym Class Heroes and release it as a single.

Doubt it.
Time to release "Q".

I think they need to break out with their own songs, not with a cover. "Q", "In A Red Dress And Alone", and "My Damsel" are the ones I hope for.

Shine Your Cadillac has been playing on Sirius' Octane in regular rotation since the album came out.
Just something to look for.

I was a little late on the bandwagon here, but I'm impressed with the progression they took from "Cold" to this song. This sounds so much more refined. I may have to give this album a listen...

I thought "In A Red Dress And Alone" was next. It's currently #1 on my chart.

I don't know how reliable wikipedia articles, are but according to the Evans Blue discography, "In A Red Dess And Alone" will be next.

Wikipedia is not reliable. Just because some fan posts it doesn't mean it's true.
