Well, this may be their chance to top the Killers.

Ahh well that feud was such good publicity. This is a logical step for the Bravery.
Blender Mag needs more fodder to call the Killers the greatest band of the 21st century.

Blender Mag needs more fodder to call the Killers the greatest band of the 21st century. Um, they don't. Spin sure sucks them off a lot, though. What was it, magazine cover at the beginning of '05, Brandon on a throne at the end of the year, and then another cover story one year after that?

I can't wait for this album, this will surely make or break The Bravery, which I believe their self-titled album was one of the best of 2005.

I liked "An Honest Mistake" for a minute, so I'm kinda interested to hear this.

You can go to www.thebravery.com and the home page allows you to listen to the new song. I must say on first listen that it is lacking the sound the Bravery had on the last album, it practically sounds like they dropped any New Wave influence they had. More or less, it is a disappointment, lack of energy, lack of something, I don't know....I'm pissed. What a let down.

The song reminds me of the Cure.
I hate to say it, but this has sophomore slump written all over it. I just don't see it "happening" again for them. Not with this being their "best foot forward."

I like it, but then the only song I really liked (or can remember, take your pick) from the Bravery was "An Honest Mistake", so for me any change is a blessing.

I can't see this being the same success as Dashboard or Phantom Limb.

I am so mad....I can't even see this having the success of Ashlee Simpson at this format.

It's nice, but kind of bland.

Compared to their other singles, it is kind of bland. Still good and I prefer this to "When You Were Young".

I find it even blander than "When You Were Young". For the Bravery's sake, I hope they avoid the sophomore slump... although, if this is the best they have to offer, maybe that would be for the best.

I'm so happy they dropped the 80's sound. I know that sounds weird coming from me, but this 60's direction is so much better for them. I heard most of the new album live on their SXSW performance and I really like it; it doesn't even sound like the same band. Had they come out with this sound in 2005, there's no way the Killers rivalry/comparisons would have been an issue. If anything, they are now staking out territory in the Beatles/Beach Boys psychedelic pop corner of the map.

I like this a lot more than their other singles, though I could understand why fans of their old stuff would be disappointed.

Off to an impressive start. I'm surprised radio was so eager for new Bravery. 39 28 BRAVERY Time Won't Let Me Go 2007 Island/IDJMG 520 292 228 3.176
If it maintains this level of increase, it will be Top 20 by next week. Wow.

Authority Zero has a song going for adds soon called "The Bravery". KPNT's new music programming on Sunday night (if it were all new singles and all American-released singles, I'd be a regular listener) played Authority Zero's "The Bravery" and the new Bravery song back-to-back. Presumably on purpose. Hearing the song again, I'm getting used to it and liking it fine. And if it's gonna scamper up the chart like this, then more power to these guys.

Here are the lyrics:
Whenever I look back On the best days of my life I think I saw them all on T.V. I am so homesick now for Someone that I never knew I am so homesick now for Someplace I will never be
Time won't let me go Time won't let me go If I could do it all again I'd go back and change everything But time won't let me go
I never had a 'Summer of 69' Never had a Cherry Valance of my own All these precious moments You promised me would come in time So where was I when I missed mine?
Time won't let me go Time won't let me go If you gave me back those years I'd do it all better I swear Time won't let me go
Ba ba ba ba ba...
If I could go back once again I would change everything, yeah If I could go back once again I'd do it all so much better
Time won't let me go Time won't let me go If I could do it all again I'd go back and change everything But you won't ever let me go
Ba ba ba ba ba...

I thought those lyrics sounded damn familiar. This is on WOCL right now, and I had no idea what it was but I thought I recognized those lyrics. Well shit, I think I actually like this song. Sometimes I surprise myself.
