Good to see them still going through with this despite its relative floppage in Canada.

KPNT has been playing this every so often for the better part of this year.

This is a good song, and a good hard-rocker to follow up "Never Too Late". I would've suggested "Get Out Alive", but following "Never Too Late" it would've struggled as they are both softer songs. "Over and Over" would've been decent as well, but I think this is probably the best choice.

This is a great song...but WTF is this not taking off for?
As successful as they've been otherwise...getting better with each single, why is this not even being looked at? Is a video intended to be shot for this song? Or are they just going to find out how this plays first?

I don't think it was ever even added.

They can easily go 4-deep with this album, but "Riot" is not the right choice. Long on emotion but little on actual melody - something that worked in TDG's first six singles. They will likely need another hard-rock choice, given the CHR success of "Never Too Late", but this isn't it. Although as it stands I could see this denting top 15 on Active Rock and maybe top 30 on Alternative.

I think the real point behimnd this release, however, was to give the red meat to the edgier rawk-portion of their base, especially after a decisively more melodic and mainstream-sounding "Never Too Late" (though the gritty themes lyrically in that song were likely enough to satisfy many of them) I reasd somewhere four months ago that the band has already recorded material for their eventual third album, and they intend to be much more melodic the next time around. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

It still seems some of these songs are just purposefully released to cater to that hard-rawk crowd, as Noah mentioned. It doesn't take away from the fact that it isn't single material. I just wish bands would release quality singles and consciously try to push them, not just release weak ones simply to "be there".
At this point, though, I won't complain about the decision of 3DG. They're safe on AR and Alternative, and "Never Too Late" will push them well into goldsville, and possibly platinum-ville if it hits, say, top 7 or so. And three top 5's on both formats isn't shabby.

Did they even make a censored edit of this? When I heard it on the radio it was uncensored. That could definiately be what's hampering its chances of success.

They've signed on to play Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is huge because that means that the first single of the next album should be out by then with the album out by September or October. I'm excited!

Are you sure about that? Seems like a heavy prediction to make. Well, there had been a Billboard article about 3DG supposedly being 5 songs into their new album and that they hinted that their new album might come out next fall (which is now, of course, this fall). With them already booked to play that show, it looks like they'll be right on target. That's not to say that things can't change...but from the looks of things, it seems to be right on schedule. This is actually starting to pick up a bit of steam on Active.

I thought this song was going to stall in the 20s and it's made it to #12...pretty damn good finish.

I always thought this was an all around crap filler song. Filler even for radio.

Yeah, I'd say this is easily my least favorite of their 6. And I don't count myself as a Three Days Grace fan to begin with.
It's just very, very average.

Do you mean singles because this marks their 8th one, and 7th in the U.S. I'm not a big fan of this song either. I would've liked "It's All Over" or "Gone Forever" personally.

I'm not a big Three Days Grace fan, and even for them, this is pretty ehhhhh relative to their others. The only songs of theirs I've really liked are "Home" and "Never Too Late" and I liked the verses in "I hate Everything About You" and "Pain" but not the choruses. "Riot," "Animal I Have Become" and "Just Like You" really don't do it for me, "Just Like You" especially. I could be _____(adjective), I could be ______(adjective), you know I could be just like you. And the riff gets old very quickly. They're definitely my least favorite of the post-grunge power trio that is 3DG, Seether, and Breaking Benjamin.

"(I Hate) Everything About You" is my least favourite 3DG single. I would actually place this behind "Home" as my favourite Three Days Grace single.

"Riot" didnt get me too excited. I liked most of the rest of the album, this one was pretty filler to me but with at least 7 songs that I do like on the album that's not so bad. Its better filler than alot of others out there.
Home(probably my favorite overall) and Wake Up are two of my faves from the last album.

I find "Never Too Late" extremely overrated. I mean...it only spent 8 weeks on my chart.
I guess I see things differently than you guys.

i have to admit that I'm just a fan of 3DG. I love the sound and I'm a sucker for rock bands that "slow it down" sometimes. I really liked Never Too Late......you should revisit it , you know its not too late, its never too late.

I've only heard it constantly on the radio for the past year or so.

well see there's your first problem.....stop listening to the radio so much, it'll only cause self backlash!
I avoid overplay by not listening to radio all that often, and by that i mean never. At any one time I can have between 200-400 songs in rotation (from all genres) so I never get bored listening to WMP or mixed CD's in the car.
It has created another problem for me though. I know have four charts. A main alternative/rock 100. A CHR/Pop Top 50 and now a AAA Top 40. The last chart is a combined chart of all three, which in reality is probably the most "personal" of the three. I just started the last two and the combined one will probably be the one where I move songs around completely based on how I actually feel about the song that particular week(as opposed to the others which are slightly influenced by media charts and my overall like or dislike for an artist over their careers, regardless of the song). I think I might need a new hobby soon!!

Definitely my least favorite single by 3DG is "(I Hate) Everything About You," and I've never thought it was anything special as I guess I could also say about "Home." However, I thought "Just Like You" was a pretty good song.
With "One X," I thought "Pain" was way too similar to "Home" and while "Animal I Have Become" and "Riot" good, they're also nothing to really go crazy about. "Never Too Late" though by far is my favorite single by them. I've probably heard it over 300 times at this point, and am still not tired of it one bit.
