Whoa, J Lo's all the way down to #46 now. "Let us give thanks to the Lord who is good"

The possibility of J Lo falling out of the top 40 brings up something interesting- if she does, her top 40 run would be 34-33-32-29-28-26-off. Is J-Lo now the record holder for the highest fall out of the top 40 from a peak position?

Is J-Lo now the record holder for the highest fall out of the top 40 from a peak position? I seem to remember someone mentioning a Cyndi Lauper song falling off the chart from its peak position of #20 or something.

Back in the 80s, tons of songs probably fell off from higher (peak) positions. I remember this discussion taking place, but most of the examples since 1994 was due to the recurrent rule.
Looks like the 7pm update might be the last - since Evanescence and Ashanti have been removed.

Coldplay "Yellow" (AT40): 40-39-36-31-28-26-26-22-24-24-22
So no, that isn't the record, at least on AT40, but they were using one of the weird recurrent rules at the time.

Was AT40 using that "3 weeks without a bullet but not in the top 20" rule at the time? Maybe "Yellow" had no bullet for those last 3 weeks, but still managed to go up 2 places in its final week. Screwed-up rule IMO...

Screwed-up rule IMO... Two things: 1) The 25/-3 rule didn't go into effect until late July 2001, and Yellow peaked in April 2001. So no, that was the rule in effect. 2) On R&R, I think that Yellow went like 22-36-off. Someone will the magazine can confirm or disprove this though.

J.lo's back to back flops have proven my theory that the only reason she was successfull in 2001 and 2002 was because she had no competition. Now it seems she can't handle all of these other better female artists who are hotter and more talented than her (Kelly, Christina, Beyonce). :)

That was fast, Josh :o
It shouldn't surprise me considering the previous times when you've replied to posts less than 30 seconds after they were made, but I'm impressed nevertheless.

Let's get back on topic. ;) No problem, Josh. Just one thing...j is shadowblue??! I never knew this. Why am I always to last to know about these things? :) I would just like to add that i am trying to be a little more positive this time around, that's the reason why i no longer use the name Radiosucks, it creats too much negativety. I know you all hate me but i don't care! ;) i like being here! Hey, that's cool. Actually, I wasn't at R&R much, so I actually wouldn't mind hearing you bitching about certain artists and posters. Kidding, dude, wouldn't wanna be banned myself now would I.... Oh and don't feel bad about dissing JLo...you share the opinion of most of humanity, ben affleck included most probably. That's already been done yesterday in Music News...

LOL! Actually, i think J.lo is a decent actress. I don't hate her all around. I loved "I'm Real" and "Aint It Funny", but she definantly got over exposed to the point where she is having flops. I liked "Maid In Manhattan" and "Selena" as well.

I know you all hate me but i don't care! ;) i like being here! Your posts will soon show whether you really mean this or not. I've said before that I don't mind anyone being on the boards as long as they play by its rules. That's why I initially posted "I don't think RayRomano is radiosucks because he isn't rabid". It was a hint to radiosucks to be civil and play nice, especially if he didn't want anyone to know that it was him. The problem is, he didn't play nice, so it resulted in a second ban from R&R. The R&R moderators gave him a second chance, like they did with Artie Ziff (actually they gave Artie 8 chances or so) and radiosucks blew it. Too bad for him. I didn't shed any tears over it.

Actually, the reason RayRomano was banned was because they found out he was radiosucks. There was no chances given. Ray Romano was nowhere near as negative as Radiosucks. Sure he got into arguments, but they weren't as bad as Radiosucks. Anyway, yeah. Your posts don't help in making the situation better! Maybe if we ignore each other? Is that possible? ??? ah well. It looks like we are both getting a rebirth since we have new names, maybe it will work out this time.

Well, if you're banned, you shouldn't be given a second chance under a new name because you already got plenty of chances under your first one. That's why you were banned the second time.

Let's get back to topic for a little,
Christina Aguilera looks like will miss her chance to peak at #2, because 3DD and Beyonce will probably take over her by the end of the week. Well done anyway Christina, great position for a 4th single off of an album that had it's first single flop. I'm glad "Beautiful" "Fighter" and "Can't hold Us Down" were bigger hits than "What A Girl Wants "I Turn To You" and "Come On Over Baby"
Does anyone else think Kelly Clarkson can pull a "Family Portrait" and sneak into the top ten? Her bullet doesn't want to dissapear and i don't see anyone taking over her, and there is a lot of songs in the #11-#15 positions that are falling. We'll see what happens.
Does anyone find it strange that Pink's song, which is a first single and currently in the 20's, has a smaller bullet than Beyonce and 3DD? Hopefully Pink can pick up more steam, she's doing alright so far.

I don't really mind "Trouble" that much; I think it's pretty good, definitely better than "Feel Good Time". However, I don't know if I see it as a potential top 5; it should reach #10 though.
As for "Low", I'm thinking no for a top ten hit. (And that's fine by me :)!
Next #1 should be 3DD; I'll say it will be there for 2 weeks and then Beyonce will take over...

I think what will happen with Beyonce and 3DD is that either Beyonce will pass 3DD, take #1 for 2 weeks, and then 3DD will overtake her and become #1, or Beyonce is going to stall at #2 behind 3DD. Either way, in the end 3DD will be the bigger hit.
