I think "Cruz" means Santa Cruz, but I'm not sure.
Although I think she should stop at five, even releasing a fifth single was pushing it. Even though I really think "Cruz" should have been her fifth single, she shouldn't release as her sixth. Two slow aongs in a row would bore people, and there are just no other songs worthy enough of being the single that pushes the amount of them over the edge.

if this goes top ten they'd be stupid NOT to release a sixth single. if you're getting airplay, why not? Just the ability to say the album was able to have 6 singles is a great thing to be able to say.
i still think it should be Walk Away. if she has a 6th, it'll be at around the Grammys, and at that point you've got to care more about the quality of the song than its "hit potential". but i expect if they do release a sixth, it will be either Infatuation (considering it was used in an AOL First Listen) or Impossible (considering its been a rumored single ever since Stripped was released).

I think a sixth single depends on "Stripped" more than "The Voice Within." If "TVW" increases Christina's album sales, then they would definitely release single number six, which would without a doubt be "Impossible"

I dont get the title of the song, at all. 'Cruz' in Spanish mean 'a cross'. The title "Cruzar" would have made more sense because that means 'to cross' and it talks about leaving and moving on and stuff...hmm  "Cruz" is just a variation on the spelling "Cruise," that's what the title was originally. |

Looks like the impact of TVW is already starting...
Stripped jumped six spots to #75 on Billboard with a bullet this week. Anyone know what sales were? - she could still be selling 15,000 copies or so...
BTW, Timberlake falls out the top 100 for the first time I believe.

That's what I thought at first too. I guess it's right. I think she said something once that may have got me thining it was about leaving to Santa Cruz or something. I don' know. Anyway, "Cruz" is perfect for Christmas. If you haven't heard it, download it and listen to it on Christmas!

I dont think she will have any trouble getting back into the top 40 with her album for christmas time. yeah its definitely a good Christmas song, it kinda brings back memories of past Christmases when i listen to it. that's exactly why it was chosen as a single, i think. i just hope it doesn't peak too early...if its still gaining when it gets close to Christmas, i think it will get extended life, but not if its already falling. |

Funny Christina's 5th single will do better than Britney's lead off single, I am almost certain it will. I love this song very much now :) Im glad they went for this one

Oh, and i heard this song on the radio for the first time today, and is it just me or does the radio version sound so different from the regular version? I don't know what it is but the insturemental sounds seem higher than her vocals on this version. It seems like the beat is the front round whie her vocals are the backround, rather than the othe way around. I don't know, i need to listen to that version again to make up my mind. |

There are a lot of songs quickly falling off the chart and I can see this making Top 5, but I can also see it stalling at #12.

You've been predicting every song #1 from the start. lol, I didn't predict one song for #1. I think it was Kylie's "Slow." But there's nothing wrong with optimism. Being pessimistic about things as minor as the R&R chartings of your favourite artists can be extremely harmful to your health and add to the already massive stress from days at school or work. I prefer to be optimistic. Hey now, (hey now), wasn't that a Peoplebase hit? |

The Voice Within has already exceeded my original expections. I was just hoping for it to go Top 20, and it's done that. I think it can continue to rise though, and I think I made a second hope for it to reach around #13, so I'll still go for that.
Stripped is still in the Top 100.. it jumped 94-87 last week in its 55th week on the chart
Depends on how you look at it. It could just be to make it more interesting or unique. Cruz is a more distinctive title than Cruise to me.
What I don't really like is when numbers and single letters are used in place of words. Like "2" for "To," or "U" for "You." Christina did that too, with Loving Me 4 Me.

What's the last album that officially had 5 songs make the Top 40?
TVW jumped 16 notches, the most since "What It Feels Like For A Girl" on AT40. But that was when they were going by a different chart. What was the last song to jump 16 on the R&R chart?
