Does anyone have a link to the Mediabase service which lists all songs played on all stations---I believe it goes back 12-24 hours?
I saw it somewhere on this website a couple of weeks ago, but now I can't locate it.

Is there another Mediabase link that shows all of the songs by a certain artist (essentially using his/her name as the searching tool) which have been played over the past week?

www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/7/SongAnalysisMenu.asp?MINSPINS=1 is searchable by artist or title. Once you have the artist you are looking for, select "Quick Cut Data," the bottom choice, from the Option menu on the right. The other choices require you to be a subscriber to Mediabase. After that you can choose "rolling" or "building" mode.

The Mediabase links aren't working for me right now. Yes, they've revamped the site and the links are not working it's been a day and a half now. Though the song analysis and the station playlists ones still do.

So how do we get to the charts? We don't... for now, all we can do is sign up for an allaccess account and get access to the top 50. The charts as we knew them may not be coming back.

I alarmed and appalled at this development. Those charts are fascinating if not relevant to me. *begins preparing mailbombs*

Well...I'm considering the source (Wikipedia) but hey.....maybe a ray of light at the end of the tunnel? Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else....
Towards the end of 2007, Mediabase began considering switching to a subscriber-only format on its website. On May 15, 2008, it was decided that the Mediabase airplay charts would be available only to paid subscribers only for a temporary period, starting in July. On July 10, 2008 only paid subscribers were able to view the charts. However, according to a decision made by the Mediabase management, the charts will be available to the general public after August 1, 2008. Even though a password would be required to access the charts, registering would be free of cost and open to everyone, not just those in the radio and music industry.

Apparently the person who put that up on Wikipedia also edited the page 4 times in the space of 15 minutes before leaving that as the final version of their post, so I'd say that light at the end of the tunnel is just an oncoming train ready to flatten our hopes.

Plus, it's a Pulse member that did the editing according to the board's IP search feature.

^ LOL
Only the one on top is me. I changed it to "The following Mediabase airplay charts were previously available to the general public, but are currently unavailable. Whether they will return is currently unknown."
The person under me is the Pulse member that edited it 4 times in 20 minutes ;)

It looks like they just removed our access to the Song Analysis Chart (Quick Cut Data). Can anyone else access it now, or know of an alternate route?

Hmm. Now I can't clear my history, else I lose all the Quick Cut links I've got stored. :( Hopefully we get the search engine back so I can look up songs in future.

you find songs added by stations here. . you can get to it through the Mediabase Add Reports. When you click on the song on the results page, then click on the link for Show Stations Not Added. It will show you the spins on every monitored station. addboard.mediabase.com/SongsMenu.asp

I have a feeling Mediabase is not far from getting rid of all free access.

I have a feeling Mediabase is not far from getting rid of all free access. I was kind of thinking the same thing too. At the very least, there's All Access, which is better than nothing. But I'm thinking this is a sign of bigger things to come, with the news that Mediabase is merging with another monitoring company, Media Monitors.

You can still find the quick cut info for any song through the EMDMenu page, with the song code you can get on the addboard website.
It's probably a temporary breach until they find out (or a mediabase spy reads this), if they're intending on making the info ultimately not free.
