Well.... there wasn't a Latin forum on R&R, and my guess is that it would get even less interest than the Smooth Jazz forum here.

Well we can always merge like several genres in one forum... in the future... when we do start posting more about Latin/International tracks...

Yeah, good idea. I agree with Keith, let's make them. We have to celebrate diversity.

I think Smooth Jazz should be deleted. There's really nothing going on in there. If someone has to make a topic "So this forum won't be empty" then you know it's really pointless to have it.

How about a German forum...maybe a Jewish forum.. Or lets go all the way and have an Afghanistan forum... LOL that's great. It really is, it actually made me laugh. I also agree with Ryan that Smooth Jazz is useless. Finally, I don't think an International Forum is that bad of an idea. There really are a lot of thrads going on each week ranging from UK airplay to UK singles sales to Canadian airplay to Australian album charts to MTV Europe Music Awards. All these topics could go in there... plus some of our international posters could introduce us to (most likely English-language) hits from their countries that aren't on the radio here. Plus, atomicaloud has clogged Music News with a bunch of British artists that most likely will not impact American radio... let him do it an International Forum instead. Just my POV.

Does Elvis Crespo "Suavamente" count as latin? That is all I know frankly, except I have heard of Juanes. Always down to check out new stuff tho...

But if there's an international forum, that means that this message board will be a US message board and the people not from the US will feel out of place posting about their own music in a forum made for Americans to differentiate between American music and non-American music. I disagree with the International Forum idea.

I disagree with the International Forum idea. It has nothing to do with whether music is American or not. There could be a topic about Britney in International, if she releases a single in Europe but not the USA. These boards are based on the R&R charts, which monitor American airplay. So even tho we have posters from all over the world, which I think is the best part of this forum, they pretty much are American forums. I think by adding an International Forum, all of us would be introduced to music we otherwise would not hear about.

I think what we mean by International forum is "International Language Music Forum"... so basically any non-English songs will go there... Please notify me if this is NOT what you guys are talking about...

We were talking about a place to talk about British, Australian, etc charts, MTV Europe Music Awards, English-language songs not seeing a release in North America.

Ah I see... well, that's what my wish was concerning about the potential establishment of an International Forum... Oh man I'm lost... we'll see what happens when I start posting about some non-English songs... hehehe...

Well, to me, this isn't an American forum and I don't think we need an International Music Forum. People can post topics on new songs in the forums we have here now, regardless of where they are released. The International Forum would probably cause less people to get interested because some people might pass over it altogether whereas now at least the peeps that visit 'Your Opinion Please?' might look at any new topic started.

Actually Mike, I disagree with you about people not seeing the topics as much. I think people would post more and read more if all the topics like this were organized and in the same place.

We made a poll concerning an International Music forum, so further discussion in this thread is now unnecessary.
