I see that The Way You Move is gaining at +977. I love the song personally.

I highly doubt that this will happen. "Hey Ya" will probably have lost a bullet by next week and look for No Doubt or Nickelback to challenge for the top spot soon.
I also love The Way You Move. In fact, I like it way more than Hey Ya. I hope that this can get at least top 5, but I won't go out and say #1... yet.

I doubt it, but they should be in the top 5 at the same time.

Remember all 129 surveyed stations have been playing the song for a while now, so I think it is about done. Also, you have to look at how high that spin total for Hey Ya is. Unless it just plummets rapidly, which I doubt will happen considering how much people like this song, it will stay up there a while bulleted or bulletless either way. I'd say there is a GOOD chance The Way You Move will be the one to replace it.

There will be at least 3 weeks between the OutKast songs' reigns at #1, if "The Way You Move" even does hit #1, which will be a race to the top with Kelis.

I think Hey Ya stays on top for those weeks too. Kelis is a challenger, but we'll see. That song is beginning to annoy me, we'll see if it has the same effect on others.

I don't know about them replacing themselves, 2 back to back Outkast songs will get pretty annoying and eventually stations will chose to put one or the other on the top, I predict that once "Hey Ya" starts losing they will start losing fast, so stations can put more spins on "The Way You Move" As for right now I think "Hey Ya" will spend the rest of the year at #1 and will give way to Nickelback for a week or 2 and then it's either Kelis or Outkast, which is great! I think 2004 is going to start off with some very good #1's! Finally the good rhytmic songs are making it to #1!!

...they should be in the top 5 at the same time. I agree. I said that in a chart topic.

Replacing themselves at #1? Highly unlikely given that "Hey Ya" is dominating the airwaves and especially when racing against a tough rival, Kelis, whose "Milkshake" is her sole current charting single, which I think will leapfrog Outkast real soon.
However, I do think Outkast has a decent chance in taking "The Way You Move" to #1 nevertheless.
First, though, I see Nickelback most likely being the first to replace "Hey Ya" at the top of the chart at the rate it is going. Baby Bash is being resilient with "Suga Suga" but it's aging in the Top 10 and I don't see it hanging long enough to conquer #1. No Doubt may be throwing in the towel and Simple Plan's gains are being outpaced by Nickelback.
After Nickelback take #1 for one to two weeks, I see Kelis taking over, then after three or four weeks at #1, Outkast will claim the top again, once radio stations trade "Hey Ya" for "The Way You Move" in high rotation.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

The highest I can see "Milkshake" peaking is #2.
Anyway, about "The Way You Move," as of now I like it more than "Hey Ya." Although I would not like to see it at #1.
