That's so excellent... I was ecstatic to see the charts last night. Delta Goodrem is an amazing artist... 4 consecutive #1's with an album that's been on top for 5 months and never left the top 3 in all it's 27 weeks on the charts. Not to mention her 10 ARIA nominations last week, of which she is sure to be the nights big winner, holding her album at #1 for even longer. I'd love if the album went on to be the longest running #1 ever.
It'd be nice if more people on the board actually bothered to check her out and give her music a chance. Considering how successful she has been I know I'd be wanting to find out what all the fuss is about esp. considering female singer/songwriters are so popular around here.
Go Delta! I hope they release a 5th single in "Predictable" and I wonder if that can get to #1 since half of Australia already own it on her album!

Congrats to Delta! I was afraid I messed up the scheduling.. Nikki's single is out tomorrow so it's (mostly likely) gonna be #1 next week! I'm kinda happy.. this way, both Delta Goodrem and Nikki Webster got their #1 singles!
"Dancing In The Streets" is Nikki's wicked new single... buy it or be unpopular and have urine balloons thrown at you at school!

Yuk @ urine baloons!
I finally heard/saw Nikki's new video... OMG it is absolutely awful, the biggest pile of crap I've heard all year. She has the singing talent of a zit. Her voice has not matured or improved at all over time, she still sounds like a whiney 8 year old BRAT. Her dancing is good in the video but that's about all she can do without looking like a total twat. This one will not be going anywhere near the top 20, wouldn't be surprised to see it miss the top 50 all together that's how bad it is. Somebody needs to stop her, shake her, and tell her she can't sing.

I remember the last time u predicted something similar to this was Delta's "Born To Try"! I hope that means Nikki will be a Top 3 (at least!) debut!

Nikki didn't include a poster or music video with her CD single. I heard it was hard to find in Wal-Mart. You are so mean Sean. I can understand if you were wishing ill will toward some mingy twenty-something slag... but what about the children? What about the children? Who will they look up to if Nikki is released from her contract?
Now when Nikki's single flops, I wonder how you will sleep at night. I use to look up to your posts, now I don't know anymore. I don't know what I can believe in. I use to be so strong, now I feel weak.
I heard her clothing line is selling well in KMart because parents are happy they are able to dress their kids in clothes that are appropriate. Nikki is 16, why doesn't she make clothes for teens?!

We don't have Wal-mart here! Maybe u meant K-mart. I saw her single today... I almost vomited, she looked so bad on the cover and all that pink and hearts made me feel sick. She's 16!?! Why does she look, sound, and act like she's 9?? Seriously, her voice is dreadful. She should quit already, hasn't she made enough money? She's an embarassment to herself.

How can you put down a 16-year-old girl who is just trying to dream. Don't you remember being 16 and dreaming you can top the ARIA chart? I do. I use to dream I could be the next Daniel Jones.
The single cover is very simple and sexy. I heard fans said there were no other pictures inside the single because they wanted a simple design. Nikki's album is out 2004 hopefully.
I don't think Nikki has made a lot of money. Look what happened to S Club 7.
My goodness, I will pray for you tonight Sean that tomorrow you meet Nikki at the supermarket or something. And you will truly appreciate the beautiful, Australia's sweetheart that she is. I bet she'll help you pick up your eggs if you dropped them. Now ask yourself, if you saw Nikki dropping her eggs at the market would you pick them up for her? Thought so. Nikki would pick up your eggs for you. I wonder if your impression of Nikki will change when you see her at MovieWorld (take pictures for the board!).

Actually not voluntarily. I was in Singapore a few months ago and then this amazing pop song came on the radio and I loved it on first listen. Yes, it was Lost Without You. Later on, I also heard Born To Try on the radio, so I downloaded both. She has quite a following in Singapore. So Delta writes her own songs? That's interesting to hear. Maybe I'll check out her album after all.

Nikki Webster can dream all she likes... she can go to the supermarket and drop her damn eggs, but she doesn't have to make any more music. Look, there are tons of people I wish were NOT in the music industry but I think they have their place. However, the lack of talent Nikki Webster displays, added to the fact that she has not grown one bit as an 'artist' and at the age of 16 is still making music for the under 10's market... convinces me she should not make any more music. Her voice is absolutely dreadful. So maybe I would help her if she dropped her eggs in the supermarket, but I will not tolerate her voice any longer, she must be stopped. Its time to grow up Nikki! I do still like "Strawberry Kisses" tho... I am downloading as we speak LOL, it rocks.

So Delta writes her own songs? That's interesting to hear. Maybe I'll check out her album after all. Nikki Webster is not a songwriter, but she looks at the lyrics to see if she needs to change them to suit her. Check out her platinum debut album "Follow Your Heart" and her sassy gold sophomore album "Bliss." Her new danceable album is out 2004 featuring her first single off there -- none other than the cover of "Dancing In The Streets"! Get dancin' Australia!

Delta won't be launching her US career for some time yet. She is currently undergoing treatment for cancer but is expected to make a full recovery. This probably will not be til early 2004 and then it remains to be seen if she's going to take more time off than that, or start making her 2nd album, or launch the US career. She's going to need to take things slowly for awhile.

Oh my dear sweet Mineable, aren't you born and raised in the US? Why would you dream of topping the charts in another country? Is Daniel Jones, one of the Savage Garden?

Cos I know it is impossible to topple America! Australia is easier because there are less radio stations to visit and punch DJs in the arm and say "Like dude, play my song!" I dream that one day Nikki and I will have a duet. Perhaps a cover of "Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)." Our video will be a spin off of the movie "Bring It On" with both of us coaching seperate teams. On the day of the competition, both our teams have tie scores -- and both win first place! Nikki and I smile at each other and during the bridge, we go out for a ice cream at a fancy parlor (Nikki doesn't eat ice cream, so she'll have a lolly). Surely, our cover will reach #1. Nikki and I will tease the media a lot. Like, one day (this is when she's 18 PEOPLE!) she'll sport a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger... when she goes to McDoe's to eat! And what does she tell the tabloids? "Oh.. we're not engaged! I just felt like wearing it." Also, Nikki and I will be so famous we'll be designing our own clothing line for TEENS. It'll be called the MineWebster. My shirts will all have 1004 on them. Nikki's designs will have her signature and robot friend on them. Gosh, our clothes will appeal to everybody cos they're cool without having to be racy or anything. Plus, they're fun to wear to garden parties, clubbing, or formal dinners. Then, after both my album and Nikki's exchange places on the ARIA #1 for a year... what else do we do? We record an album together! It'll be called "Dream Big." The first single we will write (you see, I am the main songwriter behind the team -- Nikki is the big voice) is called "Da Number One (Sean Was Wrong)." I sing a bit (like the three girls in B*Witched) while Nikki is like the Edele (of B*Witched) of our duo. Our single "Da Number One (SWW)" goes in at #2 because of a big release by someone like Nelly Furtado. Fortunately, it is #1 the next week. Our album will also feature a song called "U 2 R So Talented" written specifically for us by our good friend and biggest fan Delta Goodrem. Nikki and I will then set our eyes on America. We will have a #1 single on Radio Disney and a Top 11 in the UK. We settle down for a peaceful life by the beach and occasionally write songs for singers like Lydia Denker. Also, Monica Seles said the Australian Open is her favorite tournament. I think cos she won a lot of those.

LMAO! You are very creative... perhaps one day you will really write an amazing hit song called "Mineable's hit song". I expect Nikki, within 3.5 years time, to be lying in the gutter in Sydneys Kings Cross area, outside a striptease club like in the "You Weren't There" video, with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth and a 5 buck note stuffed in her bra.

Pssh.. you wished. Nikki fans on her board said Nikki made a big mistake wearing this. Not a good influence toward her young fans. I don't think it's that bad... it was just for the music video, not like she's gonna sport this around in her leisure time.
