Here are my choices (no order):
Lil' Jon - Get Low Christina Aguilera f/ Lil' Kim - Can't Hold Us Down (how the f*** did this get to #3?) Fannypack - Cameltoe The Eagles - Hole In The World (oh mannnn, what the heck were they thinking with this pile of garbage?) Metallica - St. Anger (see above) Busta Rhymes f/ Mariah Carey - I Know What You Want (I want this song to never be played again).

Britney Spears - Me Against The Music (How the fuck did this even get so far, oh that's right HYPE. Thankfully the piece of garbage is slowing down FAST ). Avril Lavigne - I'm With You (Gotta laugh at her voice when she starts yodelling towards the end). Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body (So annoying and cheesy).

Among songs that hit the pop top five, I'd have to say "Can't Hold Us Down". Believe me, I really do like Christina Aguilera, but good God I hate this song.

I'll wait till the end of the year to post my list.
Of songs that were released as CD singles, the worst would have to be Right Thurr.

Except that Linkin Park doesn't have a drummer, Evanescence doesn't have a DJ, Amy is never involved in entire verses or choruses made up entirely of white noise-like screams (she hardly ever screams at all, for that matter), and whatever Paul McCoy is doing in the song (I don't really think it could be called "rap") is done so not often by Linkin Park (one song, maybe?) that I have no idea how anyone could think of that as LP's trademark. There's so many dissimilarities between the two bands that it boggles the mind that so many people could make such a comparison. I think the same could be said about those people who still think that Christina and Britney are very similar. I think each of them have established themselves as two totally separate entities doing their own respective things. Same goes for LP and Evanescence, I have heard as you said yourself many people mistake the two bands. For someone who really isn't into that type of music, it is easy to make a comparison mistaking the two bands mainly due to lack of knowledge. Unknowledgable people still mistake Christina and Britney though they are drastically different, same goes for LP and Evanescence-- they're both rock groups (I'm using rock loosely btw) whereas Brit/X-Tina are pretty pop artists, beyond these comparisons there's nothing really to compare, yet people continue to make both comparisons.

Next to nobody heard this song, but "Roll Wit M.V.P." by Stagga Lee scarred me for life. It's the poor man's Eminem, and even the poor man would go for someone else.
It hurt my ears so badly he became the first artist in my 5-year history that I've banned from ever charting again on the Weekly Hit 40.
Rounding out the top 10: 2) Tyrese - How You Gonna Act Like That 3) Blur - Crazy Beat 4) Busta Rhymes f/ Mariah Carey - I Know What You Want 5) Godsmack - Serenity 6) R. Kelly - Ignition 7) Amanda Perez - Angel 8) Nelly - Air Force Ones 9) Aaliyah - Miss You 10) Blu Cantrell - Breathe
Good topic. I've been waiting to lose the pent-up anger for a while.

"Baby I Love U" - Jennifer Lopez (This is coming from a huge J. Lo fan too ) "Bring Me To Life" - Evanescence (I don't understand why so many people like them and this song, its just blah in my opinion.)

The comparison of Evanescence to Linkin Park started when people were trying to describe "Bring Me to Life", which was so different from anything else, and Linkin Park's "In the End" was the closest thing to it. There were even predictions that it would have similar success, and they turned out to be right. That was just a song to song comparison. Othwerwise the 2 bands aren't that similar.
