He should from a business perspective. BUT, from another standpoint, this isn't the 1980s. The radio wasn't inondated with the same song over and over and over like it is now. The radio is far less diverse and it's easier to overplay an artist. I think Usher hit that mark after Confessions 2 came out. Because of the overkill of this album, it might continue to sell, but once his next record comes out, people will just want him to go away because of this album (then again, i just wish he'd go away ANYway, but that's beside the point).
Until he flops with something (and for him that's basically anything that's not Top 3 if you've seen his Hot 100 trackrecord), he should keep it.

Why the hell not? When was the last time an album had this many - Rhythm Nation?? But... Yes, only if the 6th single is "Throwback". Heavens, no!! If "Caught Up" doesn't bring the album to a crashing halt, then THIS WILL!! I agree with those that say the 6th should be "Bad Girl". Not releasing that exiles the song to the hell that other great unreleased songs reside in now.

Is this from a business or personal standpoint?
Personally, no way. Business, absolutely. Go for it.

I sadly say Yes only because everything he releases is actually very good and his album has many more hits on it. The only thing that bugs me about Usher is that he is way too cocky and thinks the world revolves around him.

i think radio needs to learn how to serve its audience more. yeah a lot of people do like usher and a lot of people love eminem but i hate to break it to the world but there are peopel who do not like usher and do not like eminem. therefore if i am a non eminem and non usher fan and i turn on the radio to hear the music i like to hear i dont think its fair that i have to be saturated with eminem and usher. i mean come one radio is play like 4 songs off of eminems album right now. and usher has had many songs from the same album played. thats great if u like them but for the audience that dont they have to hear something they hate over and over again and it leaves less air time for stuff they may listen to.
and i know u can say if u dont like that type of music then find a new radio format...well that aint so easy these days. cause pop is playing eminem and usher, rhythmic is playing eminem and usher, urban is playing them, alternative sometimes, and sometimes even hot ac.
it is way overexposed and is alienating some of its audience.

Is this from a business or personal standpoint? Personally, no way. Business, absolutely. Go for it. Exactly. From the perspective of someone who was impressed with the album and then got sick of him very fast, I would love to see him take a break for a while. I could easily stand a few months without Usher dominating the music world. Then maybe I will be ready for a new album or new singles. However, I don't see any reason why he should stop. It seems that he has success in everything he does and so he should milk Confessions for all its worth, with two or three more singles. Hell, why stop a winning strategy? ...Back to the personal standpoint, I will only be okay with another single if it's "Bad Girl." That song definitely deserves to be a single.

I almost feel like this won't be a single just because he got it out of his system in a way when he used it for the "My Boo" video intro. One of Usher's favorite song's on the album is "Throwback," which IMO is the ONE song I don't care for out of the whole album. I bhope it's not the next single, but if I had to bet on what the 6th single actually will be, my money would be on that one. If "Bad Girl" can't be a single, "Red Light" is my second choice.

None of the networks are airing the whole video, other than to show it just one time when it was first released. On the other hand, the "Bad Girl" into was played every time the "My Boo" video was.
