I think both videos will be remembered but "Dirrty" was more of a video that people took a look at and where just like "whoa". They weren't expecting that from Christina at all. I think "Dirrty" got a lot more pub because it wasn't something we expected from Christina. If it were Britney, it would've been viewed as just another Britney video because of her track record of being as close to naked as possible..

Britney's video was sensual and sexy. Christina's was just slutty. Christina copied Britney's Slave. Christina is a ho. She says that the dirrty era was the real her, and then she said the marilyn phase was her, and now she's saying the jazz/blues thing is her. Now that jazz and the blues are getting bigger she all of a sudden wants to do this type of music. Just like on stripped the rnb hip hop thing she did was big at that time. She's a copier who has no originality whatsoever.

Also, she ALWAYS HAS SAID that blues, jazz, etc has influenced her and has always been her favorite so I have NO idea what u are talking about. She never said that M phase was her. Only that she has inspired her. Where did u get that? And don't go there with "no originality whatsoever."

Eh...

While I don't agree with britneyrocks18's comments, I do feel that Christina is one of the music industry's biggest phonies. Ever.
That said, I like her music. I love her strengths, and absolutely abhor, loathe, detest her weaknesses.

People today seem to have a pretty warped idea of celebrity. I suppose the Osbournes and Nick and Jessica are considered "real" because they have reality TV shows. I dunno... seems kinda contrived to me. Christina's a private person so it's easy to consider her a "phony" for superficial reasons (because she changes her look, sound, etc.) Personally, I like musicians for their music.

It has nothing to do with reality tv shows or privacy...I also find Jessica's onscreen antics to be just as pre-meditated. Christina, however, is a different case. Her entire image is totally forced... and I'm surprised most people don't see it. Her Blender article that trashed other singers (not to mention a self comparison to Van Gogh - EEK!), her magazine covers during the Stripped era, her constant referral to her run-of-the-mill pop as "art" -- it all screams phoney, and reeks of taking the pop game too seriously (not to mention herself). And before you bring up Madonna, Luckie... trust and believe that I'm well aware of her situation as well. While she also does take herself a little too seriously, I think that a good look back at what she's accomplished is pretty indicative of some discernable talents. Outside of Christina's huge pipes and wonderful singles, she has yet to impress me on an artistic level...yet she hails herself as this "artist"... I simply don't see it.

They ALL purport to be these artists. You know I adore you but... maybe you are taking fashion, magazine covers and a Van Gogh reference a little too seriously. :)

All she said was that Van Gogh sold one painting during his lifetime. He painted because he loved to paint. She made "Stripped" and was happy with it even it if didn't do well commercially. She didn't say she was a grande artiste like Van Gogh... I thought it was cool that she made a reference to art history. That's just the way I roll, baby -- can you dig it?

Actually, what's really funny is your need for a REALITY check. R&B/hip hop is not some trendy genre that was only big when "Stripped" came out. Your posts make absolutely no sense, lol. Better luck next time!
