I know "Hollaback Girl" is only a few weeks old, but I noticed there has been a lot of talk about what her 4th single should be...so vote here for what you think would be the best to release next. My vote goes to "Cool". ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) p.s. I ran out of slots so "Long Way To Go" is not an option, but you can always write it in if you want to vote for it.

I'm deciding between "Bubble Pop Electric", "The Real Thing", "Serious", and "Danger Zone". I'm thinking "The Real Thing" now, but I'm not sure.

"Cool", but if that is not chosen, then I would like it to be "Serious". And if there is a 5th single, which I'm hoping there will be, I want "Long Way To Go" or "Bubble Pop Electric".

"Cool" easily.
If not that, then "The Real Thing". If it's something other than those two, I'm going to have to warm up to the choice as a release for the third time in a row.

Definately "Serious."
"Crash" and "Luxurious" would make good singles as well.

"Cool", but I'm sure they're going to stick to something from the more urban half of the album.

Cool, but I wouldn't mind The Real Thing or Serious. Those are definitely my 3 favorites on the album by far, so I guess I wouldn't *mind" "The Real Thing" or "Serious" as singles, I just don't see radio picking up on them. Then again, Gwen is hot right now so maybe she has it in her to overcome such stigma's.

So you think if WYWF was released after Rich Girl and Hollaback Girl, it might have done better? No. I guess not. It would have done a LOT better on the Hot 100 though because of DLs. But I think the fact that it was released first is still good, because if it weren't for that song the general public would be thinking right now that Gwen sold her soul to Urban music when because of that song they know she's all over the place just having fun with her music. I think that will help the 4th single even if it's not Urban-tinged.

I think that will help the 4th single even if it's not Urban-tinged. Exactly. It was very smart to release that the earliest. She already knew she might get a backlash if she released the catchiest, more urban-sounding singles first. I'm pretty sure she won't go with an urban-sounding single as the 4th one to make ppl start thinking this after HBG being so huge. That's how we know anything with Andre or Luxurious is totally out of the question.

Well what are the so called "urban sounding" songs left on the album?
Obviously "Luxurious"...could you argue "Long Way To Go"?...I wouldn't count that as one but I guess some might since it has Andre 3000 on it.
So if she does go the urban route one more time than the only possibly single she could release is "Luxurious".
Also, where are all "The Real Thing" supporters...I could have sworned there were more than that.

I would be upset if "Luxurious" or "Long Way To Go" were released. Those are my least favorites on the album. I like them, but there are better songs.

I think my question about "how come labels do not pick fan favorites as singles?" has now been answered. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)
