she got a bullet of over +700. :o I guess a top 30 showing is inevitable.

I'm going to listen to this again. Maybe I missed something the first 12 times I heard this song.

Download PaceMaker for Winamp and up the speed 6.0% and you got a song that sounds great on the radio!

Turning down the pitch on Simple Plan's "I'd Do Anything" by -1.0 step was the only way I could listen to it.

Lyrically, this is just 'With You' part 2.
It's growing on me, but I much prefer Jessica's voice and material.

She performed last night for her first time and I really wasn't impressed with her vocally. Her vocal level is just about equal to that of Hilary Duff. Her voice is really weak as she had trouble holding the "oooh" note in the chorus and that parts that should've been sung were talk-whispered. During her interview she came off as immature, ditsy, and giggly. When asked if things were different about having a single, her response was that more boys are flocking to her.
Regardless, I still like the song, but we'll see how her other material is.

her response was that more boys are flocking to her. Whoa... I had to read that twice before I noticed the word was "flocking". :)

During her interview she came off as immature, ditsy, and giggly. Birds of a feather, stick together.

The thing that annoyed me was how she kept twirling her hair during her performance! I half expected her to snap her gum and say "ohmygod, like can we go to the mall now?"
That was her first national TV performance, so maybe it was jitters, although it's far more believable that she's a ditz like big sis.

ASHLEE SIMPSON Pieces of Me Producer(s): John Shanks Writer(s): A, Simpson, J. Shanks, K. Dioguardi Publisher(s): not listed Genre: POP Label/Catalog Number: Geffen GEFR-11155 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: June 19, 2004
Standing in the shadows of a mega-star sibling can be a problem for some. But not for Jessica Simpson's younger sister, Ashlee. For her debut single, the catchy "Pieces of Me," Simpson takes a rockier pop route à la Michelle Branch and Avril Lavigne. Driven by a melodic guitar riff, Simpson croons of a lover who comes "to rescue me." For her, being co-dependent is neither good nor bad, it's just the way it is. "How do you know everything I'm about to say/Am I that obvious/And if it's written on my face/I hope it never goes away," she declares during the song's aggressive bridge. "Pieces of Me" is gaining attention at top 40 radio. With a background in acting, endorsement deals and a forthcoming MTV reality program ("The Ashlee Simpson Show"), Simpson appears on her way to becoming the next "it" girl of the family.—RH

This song has really grown on me in the last week. I can see this going far on my personal chart and probably going top 10 on the pop chart.

I really do not like this, it will however find its way into the Top 10 but will make it off the top 40 before it goes recurrent. aka, won't be a hit with too much longitivity.

I like the song but I just don't like her look at all.
Trying to be all punk by dying her hair black.

Are you serious? www.limewire.com/I can pretty much guarantee you that any song mentioned on this board--or any song that's getting any airplay at all--can be found very easily on LimeWire. Of course, downloading copywrited music is illegal... but so is posting it on a message board. --DanG
