Why is this little Jojo kid doing so well? I hate it when little kids sing about love and relationships...yeah as if they've been through it ALL. And this Ashlee Simpson clown must go too. The pop chart is being infested with young little NOTHINGS. I salute you. Yay! Burn lost its bullet! So Hoobastank has absolutely no competition for at least another 2 more weeks. What is that formulaic trite horrible Janet Jackson song doing in the Top 40.

I think Jojo has a lot of potential and "Leave" is a really good song, I don't think this is all payola, the song is appealing. Hoobastank can't stay at #1 forever, so I'm going with Jojo for the next #1, "Everytime" doesn't have what it takes, even though it is a good song. "Burn" looks done, of course it had a good shot at #1 but since "Confessions Pt. 2" is already racing towards the top 10 he blew his chances, stop being so impatient Usher and radio. Outkast and Switchfoot are probably finishing up, or at least I hope so, "Roses" has got to be one of the dumbest songs and most annoying ever to make top 10, it's right up there with "My Band." "Meant to Live" is so old and stale, it used to be an awesome song, 9 months ago!! After that there isn't much except for another Usher tune, which probably won't make it because I'm sure another Usher song will be out within a month or two. Yep!! It's Jojo, or Hoobastank at #1 for 8 more weeks. Poor, Liz Phair, "Extraordinary" should be in the top 10 right now!

As much as he is raking in all the other accolades, I still would have liked to see Burn hit #1 if only for a week
It just seems incomplete...smash album, #1 single on all formats, and then the follow-up only managed a #2 peak on Pop... :(

I'm happy Usher missed #1. It shows a real vulnerability.

Of course I'm going to stick up for Britney, cuz I'm a fan, but I would like to disagree and say that EVERYTIME does have what it takes to reach #1. First of all, out of all of Britney's 4 ballads released to radio "Broken Heart", "Last To Know", and "Not A Girl", this is her first real hit. The song is at a steady +500 spins and has no signs in slowing down. All the rest of the songs (except Outkast) in front of her are about to drop and she and JoJo will steadily move to the top of the charts! If she don't reach #1, she will NO DOUBT be #2!
Also the song is starting to gain at Rhythmic, Hot AC, and even AC. WFMK, an AC station added the station this week. Hopefully, more stations will follow. EVERYTIME could be Top 10 on the Hot 100, woo-hoo!

agreed, I'm still looking at Misteeq as a possible darkhorse for the next, or right after the next, to have a #1 hit.

Their bullet is what, in the 300s at #11? That's not enough steam to get to #1, unless its airplay picks up once it hits the Top 10. OutKast's bullet is dwindling so soon Britney will have no song in front of her with a bullet (until JoJo leapfrogs her) I see Everytime with a My Immortal like run, a peak at #3 (or wait, did MI peak at #2?)

I like how in the 70's to 90's region of the pop chart we see songs that are bound to make up a future top 10

I think Lloyd Banks has an outside shot.

There'll be a different song going for adds in August. Right now it's being played by the Rhythm stations that are reporting to pop.

Do you think he'll drop the #1 Billboard single to The Reason? Not a chance. We already talked about how if you factor in all the #1's in audience, the urban formats will always overpower the rock formats.
