"Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time"
This is another perenial Christmas song I hear a lot every year.
I really like this! Usually I'm very tradition with my taste in Christmas music, and this doesn't really fall under that category for me... but even still, I think it's a great song and look forward to hearing it every year!

I like it, as well as Hilary Duff's version. I want to hear Jump5's rendition too.

It's simply titled 'Wonderful Christmastime' and it's from 1978, I think. The "ding dong" parts remind me of little ornaments on a Christmas tree singing. LOL!

Played this song every morning back in '82, so much I became really sick of this song I couldn't stand it for years.
Last Christmas (get it), I bought Radio Disney Holiday Jams 2 on clearance and waited until this holiday season to open it. Low & behold, Jump 5 version is on the CD. Not bad - and nice change from the most overplayed song of '82 in my circle of influence.

Oh god, did Hilary Duff really remake this? Hopefully I'll never have the misfortune of hearing her overly gleeful, bubblegum version of this. The Paul McCartney song is really good. I actually didn't know who it was by until about four years ago.

It's pretty good. Typical Hilary Duff pop confection! Hilary should have titled her album "Tasty," before Kelis did.

This song will NOT leave your head once it is there. Some call that a great song. I don't.

A five-year-old with a handheld synthesizer keyboard could come up with a better song.

The original is not good in full. It's good in clip form. On the other hand, Hilary's remake is truly caliente - in FULL!

I can't stand this song! It is way overplayed and I don't think I've ever heard a more annoying Christmas song.

Do you remember the 1979 Christmas song by Paul McCartney called "Wonderful Christmastime"? It was a track from their album "Back to the Egg".

I thought it was one of the best christmas songs ever in my opinion Oh yeah, a lot of people do! I just disagree in the strongest possible terms. To be honest, there's no more than a small handful of songs by Paul McCartney, post-Beatles, that I like. For some reason, his creativity seemed to quickly go away after the breakup - at least to me. But I admit there's no accounting for taste! Your opinion is as good as mine. ;)

I have to agree with irock, this song is terrible. And of course it has to be one of the most overplayed songs.

I seem to remember its 1st release was 1984. I think it became a bonus track on the CD version of one of their 1970s albums, but I'm almost certain that it came out later than '79. If I'm wrong, I'd like to know. Anyway, I really like the song. Awesome synth experimentation, and yet, pleasant to listen to.

I'm surprised at all the hatred geared towards this one. I love it and particularly like the vibe given in the synths.
