Beautiful! By far my favorite version of the song. When the choir starts belting out "OH NIGHT DIVINE" and Mariah is singing with them... that part kills me. Classic.

My favorite version of the song too. She really captures the spirit of Christmas in this song. Her belting reminds me of that choir in the first Home Alone movie when kevin has to hide in church from the bad guys.

Does anyone know where to hear it on the web? I love Mariah. Clay Aiken also did a great version of this song last year on his CD and then changed it up by adding an extra ending during his concert tour. It was really amazing the way he did it with an orchestra playing behind him. Course it is without doubt one of the best holiday songs ever and a total top 5 favorite of mine.

Favorite Christmas song of all-time for me. And Mariah's version is my favorite, she captures the feel of the song to a tea. I love both version she sings, but I do prefer the '94 one. There's something about the way she sings "Oh hear..." @2:55 that gives me goosebumps. Soooo beautiful, the whole thing its just powerful. Love it to pieces. Is not letting me post the vid. It does that when I'm at work.  |

This version gives me everything. The only one that comes close is Josh Groban's, because it's just such a straight version of this song, but I like everything Mariah does with it, too. When she kicks it into gear, I always get chills.

This song got a significant iTunes boost after Mariah's first Christmas show. It also outperformed "Christmas (BPCH)" in the past 2 weeks, which is always the #2 song after "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

My favorite part is actually the first "Fall on your knees..." So powerful. And then I'm a fan of the big whistle note; often gives me a chill.
