This is too true. But over all, the song never ceases to make me cry. And I love playing it for that.

It's gorgeous, and those crystal clear vocals are everything. I do hope she's not teasing us and will actually perform it at one of her Christmas shows this year!

The strings are beautiful and her voice is perfect. This is easily My second favorite track on the album, it’s so sad

Ugh this is one of my all-time favorite Mariah ballads period! I listen to it all year round too.
It SHOULD be a classic as well and I don’t understand why it’s not — it doesn’t help Mariah’s never performed it.
I’ve seen people say it’s too “sad” but Where Are You Christmas is sad too!

I think what doesn’t help this song is that there is a very real feeling that this song captures, and a lot of people may be experiencing the emotions associated with this song. It isn’t exactly the type of song you want to hear if you are trying to escape that feeling.

If you look the biggest Christmas songs that return to the charts each year, nearly all of them are uptempos. So there’s that, and the fact Mariah already has THE biggest Christmas song.. so all the focus goes to AIWFCIY.

Yeah, I love this. Just a beautiful vocal. And that BRIDGE.
I slightly prefer the single mix, simply because it sounds more 90's. But the album version is definitely more classic. Both flawless.

I wonder if we will hear it sometime this season. She took that poll and it was winning. If she does it, it will be at MSG for sure I imagine.

This has been on a constant loop this holiday. Like NON-STOP. I need this to be rediscovered by the masses at some point.
The radio promo of this with the single version is one of the few items that has always been missing from my Mariah collection. Guess who treated themselves to it this Christmas... do not ask me how much I spent.

I guess this wasn't performed in any of the holiday shows, as no footage has surfaced. Why post that poll if she wasn't going to perform the winning song?
On a related note, she did that snippet last year.

I was sitting, wrapping presents earlier today and listening to Delilah when this came on. I stopped what I was doing and allowed myself to get lost into the song. I was hypnotized, mesmerized, I didn't know what to do. This song, after all these years, still gives me all the feels. The climax is up there with her very best. I just LOVE "Miss You Most".

It's sort of a hidden gem that should stay that way and is personal for each individual person during their time of sorrow or reflection. I see why the song has never been pushed besides the music video years ago. It's just too much of a depressing song inspite of the stellar vocals.

Yes, that's something Mariah admitted to this year, she said she loves it but as a song it's just "extremely sad". A few years ago she said that it's her one song her mother avoids listening to because it's so depressing and brings back memories of loneliness and adversity during the holidays for her (Patricia).
Also, obviously Mariah wouldn't be able now at her age to replicate note for note her 23 year old self; that song is an unbelievable vocal showpiece in its recorded form. I do wish she would've promoted more though (on social media, using it in Christmas specials, allowing it to be in Christmas films, etc).

It's definitely sad, but I do think a 'fan' video of people sending messages to their loved ones (whether overseas or as an expression of grief) could be nice if done well.

I was just listening to this one, and it's a truly beautiful song. I'd love to see Kelly Clarkson cover this on Kellyoke or even an album just to give it some exposure. One way to bring some attention to this one would be a commercial/vinyl release.
