My favorite rendition of this song. It's the definition of festivity.

The best cover version of "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town". Also the best Motown-era Christmas song of all time. I also liked the Jackson 5 version of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus". Bruce Springsteen's cover of "Santa Claus is Comin' To Town" is based on the Jackson 5 version. While Bruce's version is good, nothing tops the Jackson 5 version.

Debuts on the Hot 100 at No . 46. The last time the Jackson 5 charted was in 1975 with “Forever Came Today” which hit No. 60. The Jacksons last charted in 1989 with “Nothin' (That Compares 2 U)” at No. 77.

I like this a lot, but it's not my favorite version of the song (The Pointer Sisters, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby have versions I much prefer) but I love listening to MJ's booming, festive, young vocals.
