I heard this on the radio tonight and I was SHOCKED! i love this track its one of my favorites from the album. Kellys vocals are FLAWLESS and they really shine. i really hope this is a single. it got positive responses from listeners. I think this would be the perfect song to close the album with.

that statement doesnt even make sense. if u heard the song and liked it how could u hope Beyonce was doing the leads. Beyonce have enough yodling on her solo record, its time for others to sing. Kelly was brilliant on the song.

I wish Beyonce and Michelle sang in it, too. Kelly is my favorite, but I want this to be a single! I wish Kelly had the lead and Michelle and Beyonce did chorus and just some adlibs. That way it could be a single.

I'm annoyed by Beyonce, too, but certainly not by Michelle. When they are singing live, she ususally outshines all of them. Kelly is my favorite though, and I think she deserves to shine for one single, kind of like Chili got to sing lead on No Scrubs. What I'm saying is they can keep the song the way it is, and it will never see the light of day on radio, or Beyonce and Michelle can add harmonies and sing on the chorus and Destiny's Child can have a hit with Kelly singing lead.

When does Beyonce oversings. I have never heard critics say she oversing They say she sings the most but not oversing. Thats why they say shes better than Mariah Carey in that aspect. i dont think she oversings easy. I dont know where yll listening too. Yall prob. thinking of a song the group sung in 1999 or something.

I'm not a big fan of this song, it sounds like an Usher reject. It reminds me way too much of "Burn" and "U Got It Bad."
As for Kelly's singing, she's fine as a studio singer, but she stinks live. I actually like her quite a bit, but it's obvious to see why Beyonce is the star of this group (and no, I'm not talking about the fact that her father is manager).
They need to release "Girl" and "Through With Love" and close this album out.

I agree that it sounds like Usher, but definitely not a reject. Aside from Through With Love, this is the only other song that I think sounds like a radio smash. Kelly's vocal is really tender and emotive.

this song is one of the HIGHLIGHTS of the album. it has this type of BURN-esque feel to it.
and i believe it will do good becos
1. its destinys child
2. the subject matter is relatable
3. its catchy.
4. its better than Cater 2 U
pleez dont nobody come saying bcos bee and michelle aint on it, it shouldnt be a single.
this isnt a matter of whose voice, its a matter of a good song which will do good during this winter season.
let this be the next single because it is a type of Rnb Track DC hasnt released b4, AND its success will pave an easier way for TWL.

U make such a good point. i'm so sick of people thinking Beyonce has to sing every note for it to be a good song. This song is flawless and Kelly does an amazing job on it. Her vocals are perfect and she doesnt over sing and doesnt try to race her self to see how many notes she can put into 1 phrase. she sung it very well but didnt over shadow the song with screams and shrills..

But you don't get it! A GROUP cannot release a SOLO song. There isn't ONE vocal from Michelle or Beyonce.

But you don't get it! A GROUP cannot release a SOLO song. There isn't ONE vocal from Michelle or Beyonce. as if there were not plenty of songs rekeased where the only voice u heard was Beyonces. Their 1st 2 albums were basically Beyonces solo albums. They can do anything they want. They are not on background vocals obviously because their vocals dont fit the effect of the song. Beyonce arranged the vocals, its obvious that their vocals were not needed.

I guess I'm done arguing because it's pointless. I'd like to see the day Beyonce appears in a video and lip-synchs to someone else's vocals...

who would have thought there would be a song on a Destiny's Child cd without Beyonces vocals being amplified through out the track but there certainly is one now. Times change and they can do whatever they want.

One member of a group can release a solo song under the group name. Look at The Supremes. "Someday We'll Be Together" and "Love Child" were solo songs by Diana Ross, but after that point, she became known as Diane the bitch. Just ask my dear friend Luckie.

Yes, but the point is, this won't happen. Mathew Knowels won't stand for it, and neither will Beyonce. The only way this is going to be released is if a new vocal take is done.

if the song were to take off at raido on its own then they would do it and wouldnt have a choiue. if it was that big of a deal to give Kelly a solo they wouldnt have done it in the first place. beyonce has secured her spot as a solo star, thats why they threw kelly a bone with that song. She is of no threat to Beyonce or her success.

I think it should be the 5th single. I could do real good. And them by late 2005 or early 2006, Kelly could release her album and it would be helped from this song.

I actually like her quite a bit, but it's obvious to see why Beyonce is the star of this group (and no, I'm not talking about the fact that her father is manager). Agreed. I don't think Kelly does a bad job with this song, but I definitely don't think it's flawless. I just don't feel like Kelly is on top of what she's singing. Anytime it gets a little high (and it doesn't go very high) it just sounds like a stretch for her voice to me.

I think its sad people want to believe that Beyonce is the only member in the group who has an ounce of vocal ability.

This is by far my favorite song on the album. It's one of the few I immediatelty liked. The only other song they haven't released that I would go for is Through With Love.

And it's not that I want to believe Beyonce is the only member with vocal ability. In fact that's not what I believe at all. I think she stands out because of her voice not only because of her father, and I save the word flawless for VERY few vocal performances and "Bad Habit" is definitely not one of them.

I haven't heard her album, only the singles. well take a listen to the album b4 u comment on what u believe is a stretch for her vocally. Nothing she has done in Destiny's Child even remotely comes close to what she is capable of vocally and they intentionally give her songs that dont fully display what she can do.
