I guess it's finally taking off. Man, this has been out forever. I saw him live with Guster and Ben Folds and he can really belt it out. His voice reminds me of a male Christina Aguilera - they'd work well together on a duet, but I doubt it'd ever come to that.

This should have been a hit several months ago. I'm sort of tired of it now, although I still recognize it's a good song. It deserves to do better than many songs that are blowing up at the moment.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the opening riff sounds just like "Can't Stop" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers?
Anyway, I'm not suprised at all this is rocketing here at the same time it is losing spins at a fairly quick pace at Hot AC. This really does sound more Pop friendly than Hot AC friendly.
Gavin DeGraw's voice sounds like a blend between Jason Mraz, Chris Robinson and a boy band member standing just left of center. His vocals have a range that Pop listeners would enjoy that Hot AC listeners would enjoy a little less with this particular track.
This single could go two ways. One theory is that it'll pull a Ryan Cabrera and shoot straight to the Top 10. I think this track has what it takes to go Top Ten. Everyone will forget it was released before anyway and pretend this is the first time, this is fresh.
Otherwise many won't forget, it'll sound a bit old to them, and it'll hit a barrier, probably once it makes the Top 25.
Judging by its accumulation of Adds and strong bullet, I think this can go Top 20. Top 10 I'm a bit more unsure about.
My Prediction: #16
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

LOL, I remember a few months ago some of us were having an AIM chat lyrics game. I typed a line from this song and you were the one to get it. I wonder how you got the answer now.

This song is awesome!! I'm still not tired of it. I say this goes top 20, but probably stalls in the teens. It has a simple bullet of +250 but will probably maintain this for awhile. This could easily be a number 1 smash if radio embraced it. The song is awesome!!

This is one of my favorite songs right now. The name Gavin DeGraw reminds me of Quick Draw McGraw.

I saw Gavin over the summer with Guster and Ben Folds and thought he had an awesome voice, but also thought he'd never catch on. I heard this on Mainstream radio for the first time tonight. Expect another Maroon 5 situation. It's been over a year since his album was released and he's going to be big. I'm sure "Follow Through" and "Chariot" will do just as well.

I'm still disappointed this isn't catching on quicker. Although it has a steady +400 gain, not all stations are playing the track and the bullet hasn't skyrocketed like I thought. Hopefully top 10 for sure...if not top 5.

It just doesn't strike me as a typical "huge hit".

I got a feeling this song will be hanging around CHR/Pop for a while.

This song is pretty good. However, i think many of us forget that he released "Follow Through" last year at sometime...I think it was nearly a year ago to this date, could be wrong, and it peaked somewhere around #44, and on HotAC I believe it hit somewhere around 18-21. Anyways, if this song is succesful, I definitely see a re-release of Follow Through, because it is really good.
This song will peak somewhere around #11-14...same chart run as Matchbox Twenty's Bright Lights.

My local radio station is playing the song to death. It has a solid +550 gain and almost all stations are playing it. I'll change my prediction to top 10...this is my favorite song of the year!! Frickin' awesome!!

This song is HOT! I just heard it for the first time last month when I was watching One Tree Hill for the first time, and I immediately connected with the theme song (which is this song).
I wish it all the success in the world and hope it goes Top 5. I'd love to see it hit #1 but with Nelly there I'm not sure, although this one's bullet keeps growing and growing, and Nelly's is only bound to get smaller and already has, its down to 1700 from 2200...this challenging for #1 would be a great wildcard and surprise.

Part of me thinks it's great that he's gonna have a big hit, while part of me likes having some "undiscovered" great music that hasn't gone mainstream. I felt the same way with Maroon 5 when 'Harder to Breath' was hitting the charts.

This song will peak somewhere around #11-14...same chart run as Matchbox Twenty's Bright Lights. I really like both Gavin Degraw singles. The failure of "Follow Through", which was the better song in my opinion, is what led me to believe "I Don't Want To Be" would be a flop. I don't know anymore though. After having been a doubter, and wondering why Pop would pick this one up the 2nd time around, I definitely see this peaking in the 6-10 range. Still can't believe this has picked up like it has, and still can't understand why it took so long. I would LOVE if they re-released "Follow Through". To me, that had top 10 written all over it. I think the charts were very rhythmic at that time last year, and it was just hard for a pop-rock song from an unknown artist to break through. I mean, even Maroon 5 had trouble at first.
