This was produced by Bob Rock and Eric Helmkamp. They both worked on Metallica's album St.Anger .

SIMPLE PLAN Welcome to My Life Producer(s): Bob Rock Writer(s): Simple Plan Publisher(s): WB Music (ASCAP); Wet Wheelie Music (SOCAN); High-Maintenance Music (SOCAN) Label/Catalog Number: Lava 301560 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: October 02, 2004
Much has happened to Canadian pop-punk quintet Simple Plan since the release of "No Pads, No Helmets . . . Just Balls" two years ago. The band toured the world, scored three Billboard Hot 100 hits ("Perfect," "Addicted," "I'd Do Anything") and became a darling of MTV's "Total Request Live." Then, earlier this year, after spending 57 weeks on The Billboard 200, "No Pads" peaked at No. 35. Now the boys are back, with this preview to their sophomore album, "Still Not Getting Any . . . ," due Oct. 26. Produced by Bob Rock (Metallica, Bon Jovi, the Cult), the adrenaline-pumped, treadmill-ready "Welcome to My Life" is as catchy and potent as they come. For the many who have been "hurt," "lost," "left out in the dark" or "pushed around," Simple Plan comes to the rescue.—MP

Strange connection... The chorus of this song has basically the exact same guitar part as the chorus of Lillix's It's About Time. I noticed the resemblance immediately the first time I heard it.

I finally heard this song and I like it! Except it sounds a lot like this music video that comes on the Disney Channel called "Over It." Both songs are guilty pleasures for me.

Good song! I'm glad it's doing well for them.
Think it'll go top ten?
