Does anyone know the sales Tim Mcgraw's 2000 Greatest Hits is having weekly and what the total sales are for the album?
Does anyone know the total sales for his Not A Moment Too Soon album?
Thanks

Tim McGraw's "Greatest Hits" (from 2000) is currently selling over 8,000 copies per week. Two weeks ago, it was the 11th best selling country album....period. However, since it has been moved to Catalog status, it didn't chart on the Country Albums chart--but it's been etched at #1 on the Top Country Catalog Albums for quite some time and was the #3 best selling Catalog Album of any genre. Last week, it was the 14 best selling country cd of the week. I requested the sales figures for the album a week or two ago and am still optimisically waiting for a response. ;)
During the last holiday season, someone posted the Billboard Comprehensive Album chart, complete with sales figures and I haven't been able to find it since. But I remember seeing the album on that chart with its cumulative sales totals at the time. I know it was in the mid 5 millions then.
As for Tim's "Not A Moment Too Soon" album, as of the summer of 2001, it had sold in the neighborhood of 5.7 million. My guess is that the sales are up to 5.8 million by now. However, since sales are SOOOO slow for this album now that the GH has swallowed up sales of his catalog, it may be another 10 years before this album sells enough to be certified 6x platinum.
I know you're probably wondeing when either of these album will go 6x platinum. My money is on the GH album going 6x platinum next, maybe in the next year or two.
On a side note, his GH Vol. 2 album is almost across the 1.9 million mark, which means it should be certified double platinum any month now. :)

Again, if anyone has sales numbers for Tim McGraw's "Greatest Hits" album, which is currently in the top 100 of the Billboard Comprehensive Albums chart, that would be great!

Whats the point of this topic if there is no sales. This should be locked and re-opened by someone who is actually commited to this.

I'm surprised people are dumb enough to continue asking for sales when NO numbers have been posted for so long!!!
If anyone on this board actually does have complete sales #'s they aren't going to post them and compromise their status as a member to Nielsen Soundscan since it costs thousands of dollars each year to receive sales #'s.
Also some people requests sound more like demands are very rude in the way they have posted their requests. Why would anyone respond to that?

In order to prevent people creating new topics from time to time to ask about sales figures, I figured it would be a good idea to have a catch-all request topic. Request any sort of sales figures here: albums, digital singles, etc etc. Can't promise it will be answered ;), but over time this should help to provide reference as well. Per the original post of this thread, This is a repository for sales requests but no guarantee that ANY of the requests will be answered.
