I have to give these guys a plug. I went to high school and I knew a couple of these guys, but the one I knew the most was the one I knew was going to try and break into the business. That's lead singer Jason Miller. Every Friday, chorus used to have solo days where people would sing their favorite songs from their favorite artists and most weeks when Jay performed it was a Goo Goo Dolls song, Tonic's If You Could Only See, Radiohead's Creep, and a few others. All the songs that I mentioned have at least some influence in the band that you hear today. www.myspace.com/grievingforgraceThey're supposed to play a show tomorrow at Arlene's Grocery in NYC and I really want to make it. I think these guys are going to go places.

Great band! I heard them on WLIR's local show back in 2004 or early 2005 and immediately went to their website and downloaded everything they had, something I've never done for any local band. "Goodbye Pennsylvania" and "North Star" are the two songs I really like. There's a lot of Goo Goo Dolls influence there, even the guy's voice sounds a little like John Rzeznick. They also sound like Lifehouse in that band's upbeat songs (i.e. "Hanging By A Moment" and "Spin"). "North Star" reminds me a lot of "Spin" actually.
This band will be huge on AAA and Hot AC if they sign with a major record label.
(Bet you didn't think anyone else on here would have heard of them, eh? ;))
