Was it me or did her VMA performance sounded lipped? It was too perfect.. IMO for Fergie.

Was it me or did her VMA performance sounded lipped? It was too perfect.. IMO for Fergie. During the chorus there are backing vocals but it doesn't really seem like she is trying to fool anyone with it as she held the mic up to the audience during some parts and you could clearly hear them over her backing vocals and then held the mic down to her side during some parts of the chorus. It is pretty obvious the verses were live as you could tell by the quality of her voice live versus the record. It sounded pretty different, in my opinion.

Yeah, I watched the performance 3-4 times and she was definitely singing live! She is a great performer and she did an awesome job so don't try to take it away from her, bitches! For me, it was the most fun one of all! Too bad she was not on the main show!

Why is Fergie's CD called the Dutchess? Remember Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York (her nickname is Fergie too)? And Fergie is also a "dutchess"

Why "dutchess"? Is it a word even spelled with a letter T? Why not "duchess"? Is there some significance to the misspelling? Is it spelled that way because Fergie smokes a lot of weed?

Fashion Rocks curator Sir Elton John (in Yohji Yamamoto) and Fergie (in Blumarine) stage a royal entrance at Radio City. Both singers will release albums next week β The Captain and the Kid for him, and The Dutchess for the Black-Eyed Peas frontwoman.

There's a remix of "London Bridge" with 50 Cent on it. He raps on most of it, including the chorus. Fergie does repeated first verse after that little break in the middle. This version is really hilarious and it's much dirtier. Same instrumental though.

I'm REALLY suprised this album hasn't leaked yet. I mean, it comes out in 9 days.

Fergie: Crystal Meth 'Hardest Boyfriend' The singer speaks out on quitting the drug
By Stephen M. Silverman People Magazine Sep 11, 2006 10:00AM EDT
Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is riding high on the success of her first solo album, The Dutchess.
But, as she admits in the new issue of Time, feeling high in the past meant using crystal meth.
"It was the hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up with," she says. "I dug deep as to why I got there. It's the drug that's addicting. But it's why you start doing it in the first place that's interesting. A lot of it was being a child actor; I learned to suppress feelings."
These days, performing is her outlet for those feelings. "We're on tour," she says. "I have an hour and a half of performing every night and improvising. If there's a rafter, I can climb right on."
And while her nickname comes from her family β "My grandpa's Fergie. My dad's Ferg. And I'm Junior," she says β she's familiar with that "other" Fergie, Britain's Duchess of York. "She called me on the phone," says the Southern California-born singer (real name: Stacy Ferguson). "We're talking about doing some charity work together, building schools."

Glendale, Ariz. Fergie flashed her fans - and no, it wasn't scandalous - while performing "London Bridge" during a pre-game show when the San Francisco 49ers played the Arizona Cardinals over the weekend.

Im a little worried about this album. There is no buzz. Everyone is focusing on Christina, Beyonce, and Justin!

The album hasn't leaked yet. That's good in that it won't hurt sales, but it also means that there aren't a lot of people talking about it yet. what more is there to say about London Bridge? It'll be on MTV.com tomorrow, so things should pick up. the girl got a #1 single!! i think she has a decent shot at #1, and this is coming from a huge Clay Aiken fan who wants him to take the week. although maybe that's the theme; everyone releasing on the 19th has no buzz?
