I think Justin will have a huge drop second week. not because the album isn't good, but that's what always happens when albums have huge debuts. It's between Fergie and Clay Aiken (shut. up) for #1 that week IMO. He is expected to clear 700K with a chance at 800K Even more than a 50% drop would leave him at over 300K. I am unsure if Fergie will clear 300K. She may, but I think its more between Clay and Justin with Fergie a very strong #3.

Even if she won't make it to #1 on the first week, this is a very strong album and it will stay at the top of the chart for a while!
I can see 3-4 more singles coming out of it.

As longas she releases Glamorous & Mary Jane Shoes I'm set. I can see the girls and guys grinding to Mary Jane Shoes. Add Beenie Man to a remix and my god we are set.

"Mary Jane Shoes" sounds so much like Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry"!

Yeah, she will have another solid 2-3 singles and will sell a lot in the long run (plus I think she WILL open strong-not opening at #1 isnt a shameful thing)

WOW!! Fergie Ferg wasnt playing with this album! Her and Nelly Furtado both delivered hot hip hop/ pop albums this year!! I'm glad Fergie was able to deliver......cant say the same for some other artists dropping in the next couple of weeks.

ok album....BUT...fergie please cancel the release and re-work some songs bc coming out against christina, beyonce, and justin is not gonna turn out well for you. LOL! Fergie already has a bigger hit than Christina and Beyonce and she managed to do it right in the middle of Beyonce & Chrisitnas lead singles, while neither one of them came close to hitting #1 but Fergie did. So please dont count Fergie out because of some overhyped chick like Beyonce that wont be coming close to the sales of DIL especially the way her singles keep dropping like bricks and she probably wont end up doing over 2.5 mill. so I dont know why everyone wants to think she is such a threat. Fergie will do just fine. Especially considering the sales of BEP and how she still has the majority of their fanbase. She really doesnt have much to worry about as long as they pick the correct singles for this album.

Fergie really doesnt sound bad live at all. No worst than the Gwen Stefanis' and Nelly Furtado's of pop music, thats for sure.

"Mary Jane Shoes" sounds so much like Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry"! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. That melody is straight from "No woman, no cry"

*looks at Itunes* Beyonce is ahead of Fergie on Itunes. I'd say she is doing just fine. You don't need to bring Beyonce down to endorse Fergie.

Please some1 else bought up that idiot Beyonce to bring down Fergie and I responded to their post, so if you are going to monitor something do it properly. and the fact still remains that "London Bridges" outperformed "Deja vu" & "aint no other man" and will probably outpeform "Ring the alarm" as well since Beyonce cant seem to pay radio enough to fly her garbage straightto #1 anymore.

All That I Got C+ Baby Girls Don't Cry B- Losing My Ground D London Bridges A+ Mary Jane Shoes A- Pedastool D Velvet C- Voodoo Doll D Glamorous B (This song could be soo much more.) Here I Come C+ Get Your Hands Up B- Fergalicious B (Same with this song.) Finally D Clumsy D
I guess the producers gave her these songs as encouragement to stay in BEP. This album sounds underproduced. It sounds like they used a casio keyboard to record some of the beats to the songs. Honestly I'd go back and re-record most of these tracks. CLEARLY, London Bridges is the highlight of this album. Mike (The Max), I think your productions are better than most of these songs.

I'll be buying the CD. But I think she will be number 2 or 3. Justin will probably stay at #1. Then #2 and #3 will be between Fergie and Clay.

Adonis, I have a completely different opinion about the album. All songs are fun and the productions sounds great to me! I had a blast listening to it during my workout and I don't usually listen hip-hop in the gym! This is by far the most fun album I heard lately. I like it better than Justin's album ... and I really do like that one too! After listening to the album 3 times ... 01. Fergalicious A (single material - big hit) 02. Clumsy A (single material) 03. All That I Got (The Make Up Song) B04. London Bridge A05. Pedestal C06. Voodoo Doll B07. Glamorous B08. Here I Come A (single material) 09. Velvet B10. Big Girls Don't Cry B 11. Mary Jane Shoes A (single material) 12. Losing My Ground B13. Finally + Hidden Track A14. Close To You (Bonus) C15. Paradise (Bonus) B16. Wake Up C17. Get Your Hands Up A

I was listening to 'Clumsy'...really enjoying the song. Very impressed. And then she starts talking to me in the middle of the song. Why do singers feel the need to do this?!!?

Fergie doesnt need recording breaking sales in order for her to do well because Beyonce , nor Christina have them and they wont get them either. However, with her #1 single Fergie is still in a better position than both of the female artists you mentioned as being the competiton that she needs to be afraid of. Fergie is not some random chick off the street, she is the front-woman of Black Eyed Peas who's last album sold 4 mill and before Fergie joined the group BEP was not even a known group to the mainstream audience and could not give away any albums to save their lives. So Fergie has a fan-base, and she has the radio play to sustain her sales and not to mention good promo. She is just as much of a threat to Beyonce & Christina and Justin as they are to her. Fergie is not Cassie, Amerie, JoJo or some other random floptastic artist that cant even give away an album.

I personally love it, and I am not that big a London Bridge Fan
1.Fergilicious-B+ 2.Clumsy-A+ 3.All That I Got -A 4.London Bridge-B- 5.Pedestal-A- 6.Voodoo Doll-B+ 7.Glamorous-B+ 8.Here I Come-B+ 9.Velvet-A- 10.Big Girls Don't Cry-A 11.Mary Jane Shoes-A 12.Losing My Ground-A 13.Finally-A+
Fergies voice is amazing on the ballads All That I Got and the stunning piano ballad Finally, written by John Legend. I'm sure alot will disagree. Anyway.Clumsy is my favorite track and is hopefully the next single. The hook is great. It's got alot of different styles too it and I love that, makes the album very different and not boring.

Fergie: Solo Star Read our interview with the first lady of the Black Eyed Peas Sep 12, 2006 04:00PM EDT TeenPeople.com: How does it feel to do your first solo record? Fergie: It feels wonderful to do my first solo record! I've dreamt about this ever since I was a little girl. When I was 7 years old, I told my mom that I wanted to have a solo record or a solo album, as I called it back then. And she said, "OK, as long as you get good grades," which I did. It stemmed from her showing me musicals. She was a huge musical buff and I would watch these musicals, especially the ones with kids in them. She would take me to this local theatre [that performed] stuff like Peter Pan and Annie. Those were the ones that inspired me the most because I saw kids my age doing things that I knew I could do. So I just started mimicking the radio. Then my parents had season tickets to Universal Amphitheatre. They we huge old Motown fans. I got to see The Temptations and the Four Tops, Tina Turner, the Pointer Sisters and Madonna, all at a very young age. So I was mimicking what I saw. I knew that's what I wanted to do. TeenPeople.com: So that wasn't actually the London Bridge in your video, was it? Fergie: We used Tower Bridge and not the official London Bridge. I really trusted Mark Webb, the director of the video, because he has such a good eye. He felt that Tower Bridge was such a beautiful one, and that it would lend to the beauty of the video. It's a London bridge -- it's not literal, and neither is the song, so don't take it that way! TeenPeople.com: How was shooting your first video in London? Fergie: It was amazing. Being that the song is called "London Bridge," it's only right and proper! I had never ridden on the Thames [River] before. We got to go to this beautiful mansion and have an old school gentlemen's club party, which I got to crash in the video. I got to wear men's clothing, which I've always wanted to do in a video -- that whole androgynous type of thing. I also used the old "make the English guard beefeaters move when they are standing completely still" thing. I had to. It was just so obvious. TeenPeople.com: Who were the producers on the album? Fergie: The executive producers on the album are Will.I.Am and Ron Fair, both of whom are my partners in crime when it comes to the studio. Ron has more of a classic twist and Will has more of a modern twist. Together, it's a great combo because it makes for interesting songs and interesting flavors mixed together. I've known [Geffen Records chairman] Ron Fair since I was eighteen years old; he signed another group I was in called Wild Orchid. Of course, we're friends as well, so it was a joy that this all came together and our paths crossed again. It was just like old times! Will.I.Am, as you all know, is just a genius as well. He and Ron Fair are both brilliant in their different ways. TeenPeople.com: How is your solo record different then the Black Eyed Peas? Fergie: The difference between the Peas' sound and my solo album is that this one is a lot more open on a personal level for me. I really dug deep and I was very honest about my relationships, break-ups, struggles and, of course, the good times. This is a look into who I am as a person. This album was written [over] a seven-year period, so it has songs from many different phases of my life, which I find interesting. I couldn't have written a song today that I wrote five years ago, because I'm not in that same place. There are also a lot more ballads on my album than there would be on a Black Eyed Peas album because first and foremost, I'm a singer. TeenPeople.com: Are the Black Eyed Peas breaking up? Fergie: For everyone's information, the Peas are not breaking up! We are currently on tour and during the set I play one of my songs. As the [singles] come out, I'll start playing more of them and letting people live with the album. I want people to hear the album and really listen from start to finish because there will be songs for everyone! www.teenpeople.com/teenpeople/article/0,22196,1534117,00.shtml
