Christina Aguilera came close with "Car Wash". It fell out from #26. But didn't "Pieces Of Me" recently fall off the chart from #19? ;)

When's the last time a song fell out of the top 40 from such a high position? Didn't Shadow fall from somewhere in the 15-16 area?

I find it odd that pop radio embraces a corny pop song like "Beautiful Soul," but yet "Drop It Like It's Hot" is on it's way to becoming a huge song, haha. It's almost like two extremes. It's ironic.
Thanks, Ben

For some reason, I find it odd that songs named Encore (one of them is Numb/Encore, but still) debut at #39 and #40 this week. Casey Kasem would've had something clever to say about that...

This also marks the 10th time in 11 weeks that there have been at least three top-40 debuts. That hadn't happened in years!

(1913) Hoobastank - The Reason (1663) Increase each debut by one spot (except for "Soldier"), since you forgot to account for Houston also going recurrent this week. This means that "Sunday Morning" is also a Top 40 debut.

Wow everyone's talking about how Avril slowed down to the 500's when she hit the low 20's but Maroon 5 hasn't even hit top 40 and it's already in the 300's.

By the way, is this the last chart that counts for the 2004 year-end or is that next week?

I'm guessing it's this week (the last November-dated chart).

Based on what chart number Matt said the 4/30 chart was (in an old topic), 11/26 is the last chart of the year.

Whoa... looks like I need to get up to date on my year-end calculations. (Thankfully, the Thanksgiving holiday is coming up, so I'll have plenty of time to work on that this week.)
