Maroon 5 should get a 5th week at #1 this week. Next week, #1 will be up for grabs between them and Ciara.
I wouldn't be surprised if #s 3-6 all remained the same this week. Eminem should move up to #7.
With Ashlee Simpson and Finger Eleven likely to fall out, there will be room for two top 10 entries, which will most likely be Usher f/ Alicia Keys and Nelly f/ Tim McGraw. Seether and Bowling For Soup will most likely have to wait at least one more week.
Assuming she doesn't start losing a whole bunch of spins, Britney should be able to pass Terror Squad and Houston for #20 this week.
With Nickelback and Nina Sky going recurrent this week, top 50 debuts should include LL Cool J, Jesse McCartney, Crossfade and possibly a re-entry from the Counting Crows.
Songs in danger of losing their bullet are Nitty, Vanessa Carlton, Franz Ferdiand and Skye Sweetnam. (though the last two have looked like they could lose their bullet at any minute for weeks now)

It doesn't look too good for Britney. It is gaining about 20 more spins a day but it;s bullet keeps shrinking. I'd be utterly shocked if she goes top 10.

Kelly Clarkson might be able to pass Ryan Cabrera for #4 this week. Hopefully she'll be able to grab #1 before Ciara (and her shrinking bullet) can reach it.

I think it is very possible for Kelly to do that by Sunday. I think she will topple over Ciara next week which is a shame to me since I want to see Ciara at #1. I thought Kelly would stall out in the mid 20's and flop from there.....I hope she doesn't get #1 but at this point I think she just might.

Honestly...Kelly even making top 10 has made the chart year. Now if Vanessa went top 20.... (thats looking impossible )

I don't know about Nelly going top ten next week. So far, his bullet says he can, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't start losing it soon in the next couple days.
Avril came so, so close. But to no avail. I still have doubts about Ciara getting #1. Her bullet is shrinking very rapidly.
Top 40 debuts should be Lindsay Lohan and Yellowcard, assuming they keep their bullet.

Let's hope Breakaway gets #1. "Just Lose It" and "Lose My Breath" are both slowing down big time, I think "Lose My Breath" will peek higher than JLT.
I hopeing both of them can keep their bullet and at least go top 25. What has happened to Vanessa a #1, #2 and a #23? and now a number #30.
"With You" has sure stuck around in the recurrent spot.

Let's hope Breakaway gets #1. Yes, please! I'd love to see this song outpeak and outlast LMB. It's infinitely better.

Actually she had a #1, a #9ish, and a #23. And makes sense to me-her other two songs basically road on the massive success of ATM and her new single is too subtle and mature for pop radio. I didnt think she had a chance (though for awhile she looked like she may have had one)

Ryan Cabreras tank is empty and Ciarras is almost empty. Both have gotten full benefit from ALL markets. 'Breakaway" appears to still have huge potential in many midwest and western markets who have just begun to increase her spins.

If "Over and Over" does hit the top 10 this week, it would almost have been the third time in four weeks that a song hit the top 10 in its second week in the top 40 ("O&O" was #39 two weeks ago).
Lose My Breath: 41-23-10 Just Lose It: 41-13-9 Over and Over: 39-20-??

The gap between Maroon 5 and Avril has lessened. . . grrrr. don't remind me about that. I can't believe that she lost out on the very last day! It's instances like these that make me believe mediabase along with clearchannel co-conspire together. It has to be a conspiracy! >:( They better not screw with Nobody's Home. That one has to get to #1.

Actually, it was a #1, a #9, and a #21. Oh ok, right, thanks. I was not sure where PB peaked exactly. (or OD for that matter haha) I knew it didnt get close to #2 though

This is absolutely Avril's last chance of hitting #1. I refuse to get my hopes up again, however.

Vanessa +100! I definitely would not get my hopes up for Avril. "Nobody's Home" better hit #1!

Interesting how "My Boo" had a relatively slow start on the pop chart, but is now making strong gains. Lol, the complete opposite was true for "Just Lose It" and to a lesser extent, "Lose My Breath".

The gap has narrowed between Maroon5 and Avril has grown smaller a little bit, but I'm not getting my hopes up either.
Regardless of whoever is #1, it will be the "weakest" #1 in a long time. I like it.

Wouldn't it be awful if Avril got within ten spins behind Maroon5? That would probably be a new record.

I have a feeling Avril might steal #1. . . she's only 60 spins within Maroon 5, and if she gains on them 20 spins for the next 3 days, she MAY be able to get there by the Sunday update.

If she missed it last week, I doubt she'll come close to it again. And to be honest, I prefer Avril to stick with her #2 achievement, and wait to see her score a real #1 with a better song and higher spins. A #1 with HE at this point wouldn't be as satisfying.

Yes, but HE hitting no. 1 woud greatly increase her chances at future no. 1's.
But at least none of us would be surpsrised. I'm actually EXPECTING her to miss it by 5 spins.

Nah, Avril's bullet has consistently sayed in the -350's over the past 3 days or so, and Maroon 5's has moved from -100, to -200 something.
