This was easily one of the best albums of 2004. Her two-disc debut album was extremely eclectic, ranging from pop to jazz to rap, and everything in between.
Great reviews across the board, basically a female Rufus Wainwright (no way she'll ever breach the mainstream). I read in Entertainment Weekly today that she's recording her second album now in NYC that is due this fall, and a possible title is "Duck Quacks." I'll be picking it up, that's for sure.
And the best part is, she's only like 19. She sounds older, though. Quite a bit older.

I thought it was pretty good. For the longest time I thought she and Bonnie Mckee were the same person.

I've also heard her songs and thought thery were pretty cool. I was trying to download "Sari" for months, but I never actually managed to. Cool singer. And she does sound (and look, no offense ) older...

I think it was revealed (I don't remember where) that she was really somewhere like 23-25.
I'm curious to hear what her album sounds like. The title was making fun of Norah Jones' Come Away with Me and is great for the fact that there's this jubilant, Red-Riding Hood looking girl (Nellie, of course) on the cover and the album's got a parental advisory sticker down in the corner.
