Omfg. I didn't know she was gonna perform on superbowl (I'm not exactly the biggest sports fan; I mean I haven't even seen the Katy show yet) and then I saw all these songs shooting up on Itunes abd I thought she'd died or something. My heart just dropped. LMAO Damn it I miss this bitch SO MUCH.

She have 3 songs in the Top 10 on iTunes at the moment while Katy has none. I hope a new album will follow we've been waiting years!!

Missy just had her legacy cementing moment and while it's wonderful to see her step out of the woodwork to collect her due accolades, I'm not holding my breath for a proper comeback. Yes, the public's reaction to her performance demonstrates that the demand is there. I'm not concerned over that. What I'm afraid is still AWOL is her magic in the studio. Let's not forget that she was prepared to come back a few years ago, but when she dropped those two tracks there was nothing to work with. I'm rooting for her and I hope she CAN concoct some hits again- and I know the public would happily embrace it- but you can't start a fire without a flame, as they say.

I just realized the other day it has been ten years since The Cookbook came out, I hope she's cooking up something good.

I think she's a little to indebted to Timbaland from a musical standpoint. I understand what they have done and how she wants this new record to have him heavily involved but I just don't know where Tim is at musically for her to be successful. He was so hype about their singles in 2012 and neither to me screamed a missy single. It would be dope to have her in with other producers for this album as just like with TLC it most likely would be the last.

She did quite a few records with Yonni as well (producer of Trey Songz' Say Aah).

Missy killed her performance yesterday! I need her to comeback this year. She has great performance skills. she could show a few of them how it's done!

I'm @ Missy peddling her music on iTunes so hard but I can't blame her one bit. Earn those royalty checks while you can!

One of the most humble artist to ever do it LOL I get what you mean but Missy is CONSTANTLY hyping herself up and tweeting about how great her own music and the music she wrote for other people is. Nothing wrong with that but the good sis certainly doesn't shy away from giving herself props and letting people know how many classics she's had a hand in. Edit: Case in point, the post above me. Every few days she tweets the links to joints she wrote for 702, Nicole Wray and the rest of em with captions like "I sure wrote the hell out of this song!!!" or something like that.

I don't think it matters how much the public is showing their love for her if her next attempt at a comeback is like her attempts in 2008 and 2012. The music needs to be up to par too. She has a great back catalog, but that means little as far as future success.

Spotify revealed that Missy's catalogue experienced a 676% increase with "Lose Control" seeing the biggest increase with 1396%. With enough sales and streams she could see all 3 albums charting on the Billboard 200 next week with SEA and TEA.

Miss Info: Hold up! Before you bow down to Missy’s freshly-reinstated greatness…here’s a little #MissInfoExclusive ; ) We heard an unreleased remix from Diplo and Skrillex (aka Jack U) of their massive pop/dance hit “Take U There” but this one featured two incredible verses from our girl Missy Elliott, not just spittin’ in high heeheeheeheehaw form, but also giving up a little buttery “Hot Boys” melody too. We’re as ready for this Missy renaissance as the rest of the world…and even though this collabo was recorded before all the Super Bowl hype, it would just in time to catch the wave. Hope to be able to share the remix with you guys soon!

Her bio on twitter or IG is something along the lines of "I've written/produced for your favorite artists".

www.billboard.com/articles/events/super-bowl-2015/6458260/missy-elliott-super-bowl-sales-bumpMissy Elliott on Track for 1,000% Sales Gain Thanks to Super BowlBy Keith Caulfield | February 02, 2015 5:28 PM EST Missy Elliott's well-received (and highly watched) guest turn during Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show (Feb. 1) is generating major sales gains. Industry sources suggest Elliott's catalog of songs could earn a sales increase of around 1,000 percent in the week ending Feb. 1, jumping to perhaps 70,000 (or more) downloads sold. That would be up from just 6,000 in the week ending Jan. 25, according to Nielsen Music. The Feb. 1 week's official sales figures, as compiled and collected by Nielsen and used for Billboard's charts, will be released on Feb. 4. Elliott performed a medley of three tunes during Perry's halftime spectacular: "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It" and "Lose Control." They are each aiming to sell around 15,000 to 20,000 downloads for the week. In the previous week, each sold around 1,000 downloads, according to Nielsen. "Work It" looks to be the halftime show's biggest seller, as it may shift around 20,000 downloads.

I love that Missy Elliott stole the show from Katy Perry. Missy was the best part of the entire performance, FOR SURE. I wish she had done "4 my People." I would have died but I know she had to do her big commercial hits.
