I think I'm gonna take back my comment about this album possibly being good... she really does need to give it up. She is not seriously into music at ALL, she's just doing it because all her other career opportunities have flopped and no-one wants her. If her last album didnt do that well when she was still somewhat liked, I highly doubt this one will present her as a serious artist. She will only do like 2 TV appearances (like every other wannabe) and then disappear, then hope the album will sell on it's own. Pfft...

Yea celebs don't wear them much anymore, im surprised she's trying to release a line of anything really. I don't see her successful outside of acting really. But I still can't wait for this record. :) But I agree with her vocals not fitting the song. She doesn't fit the genre really, it seems like this genre is for people with clearer voices, who can reach falsetto etc. But Lindsay's is more husky and she can't really, her voice is more fitted for pop/rock. |

It's weird how people seem to write her last album off. Although it didn't go platinum like her debut, it did manage to release the biggest single of her career, "Confessions of a Broken Heart". And it still managed Gold. |

A lot of albums manage gold when they aren't near 500k. Lindsay's sophomore album hasn't even passed 350k. Not close to 500k but enough to go gold. Lindsay clearly has album selling power. If she (and her label) play their cards right then she could get another gold record. TBH, I don't think people have enough interest to listen to her music. Nearly all the people I've seen saying they love "Bossy" are just her fans from her previous music. It's weird how people seem to write her last album off. Although it didn't go platinum like her debut, it did manage to release the biggest single of her career, "Confessions of a Broken Heart". The number it peaked at (somewhere in the 60's I believe) is nothing worth mentioning. |

Based off downloads. "Rumors" was her biggst airplay single and would have peaked on the Hot 100 if downloads were being counted at the time. "Over" also peaked higher in airplay than "Confessions" of a broken heart." |

Cause the album might be only dropping by October so this is a bit like Hilary's 'Play with Fire' and Ashlee's 'Outta My Head' releases right? A shame if its true cause buzz singles are gerneraly flops and never promoted - and I SO wanted her to do at least 1 performance of 'Bossy' |

I'm really glad Lindsay is sticking with singing, despite the reaction to her last album (which, by the way, should have done much better - it's one of the best pop albums in the last few years). She has a decent voice...not the best, but nowhere near as terrible as most people make it out to be. Also, she isn't singing just because "no one wants her." She was pursuing it way before she ever made it big as an actress. She actually signed her first record deal back in early 2002, long before she was a household name. She promoted her first album pretty well, but she couldn't do much with her second because she was busy filming a movie when it was released. Hopefully she'll have time for this one. Anyway, "Bossy" has definitely grown on me. I like it a lot, but I can't see it doing much as a single. I doubt radio will touch it. |
