Keyshia Cole "Just Like You" Era (September 18!)

Keyshia's still holding it down. Look at how comparatively abysmal her first 2 singles did compared to the ones released afterwards. I remember seeing the Ginger-Spice Black girl look-alike with the different voice on her first 2 singles produced by Kanye and thinking she wasn't going to do too well due to the reaction from radio. However, after I Should Have Cheated, she has proven that she is no one-hit wonder or there's no sophomore slump going on. 7 Top ten R&B singles...Wow!

"I Remember" is only the fourth solo chart entry for Cole. Previously, her highest-ranked solo-billed hit was "Love," No. 3 in April 2006.

Keyshia Cole Hits the Studio for Third CD! | March 19th, 2008

Geffen Records platinum-selling songwriter and recording star/BET Reality TV icon KEYSHIA COLE is currently in the studio recording her third (3rd) CD which is slated for release Christmas 2008. On this untitled release, Keyshia has already started work with top producers including Polow Da Don, Nephew and Scott Storch to name a few. The third disc will follow two highly popular platinum-selling CD's: 2005's The Way It Is and 2007's Just Like You.

In addition, within the past two weeks KEYSHIA COLE completed the shooting of three back to back videos with the first being for her 4th single, "Heaven Sent," from her chart-topping sophomore CD Just Like You. "Heaven Sent" was shot in Hawaii by popular lensman Benny Boom. Directly following that shoot, Keyshia flew to Atlanta to shoot her performance on Universal/Republic rap group C-Side's debut single titled "Boyfriend/Girlfriend," and then was off to Miami lending a hand to her girl Trina on Trina's new Slip-N-Slide single, "I Got A Thang For You." Prior to shooting those three videos Cole also appeared in Jaheim's new video for his single, "I've Changed."

The #1 Series telecast of The Way It Is 2, airs its reunion show Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is: A Family Affair this Thursday, March 20th, at 8PM on BET.

The 5'1 dynamo is continuously at work and promises to debut her new artist Amina on Imani Entertainment (a label she owns with manager, Manny Halley) through Geffen Records in June. Keyshia will soon be announcing a major deal she has with a hair care line as well as an 11-city tour with a corporate brand.

I gotta say, this woman really does work hard for what she does and I gotta admire that. She worked a debut album until it became platinum, when it didn't look like it would at first. Her show has added to her fanbase and her second album went platinum without a problem. Her label also has confidence in her and lets her have more than 3 singles per album! I am happy for her. She is an inspiration to ghetto girls everywhere!

^Yep, it's pretty but it's boring. It's even worse then the "I Remember" video, but it's my favorite song on the album so I'm glad that it's getting released. Keyshia needs to leave Benny Boom alone for a while...
